Our loan officer contacted us on Friday, and said that Kennedy wanted to try to finish up some projects while they were going thru their lawsuit. Apparently Kennedy wanted to check on financing before begining work on any houses.
We are wondering if anyone in any of the subdivisions have seen any work begin again? All we have seen is contractors removing their trailers! So much for work begining again!

I bought one of the models (which was the sales office) here in Hebron, IL. They are gone here and, yes, all contractors removed their samples and such from the contruction office. There are no sales people; can't reach anyone. Just found out that the other 3 models were bought by Remax and will be sold. My neighbor next door was the siding contractor for Kennedy here and they owe him $200,000+. There are only 12 homes built out of 262 scheduled for this development. Understand now Harris bank owns the land. What a mess. We are also paying $300/yr homeowners assoc. fees. Who's going to maintain the common areas we are paying for?

Why are you people bashing Union trades? Obviously you've never worked with or around them. The tradesman make the best out of any situation they are put in.

Every new home has issues. Be a home owner and fix them yourself. I own a Kennedy Home, and little things have arisen. You know what I did? I FIXED IT MYSELF. Be proactive, if you don't know how to fix, get a DIY book and teach yourself. What is happening to this world today where a home owner doesn't want to learn how to fix something in their own house.

I have possibly the biggest chatter mouth in the history of construction. I tried out for the apprentice because I think I am the worlds best gift to construction. If you talked to me you would know I can hardly stop taliking BLA BLA BLAH BLAH BLA I'm amazing I'm dumb I'm sharp I'm dumb I can't help myself I need to take a 6 week leave again. I have worked around union trades for many years, and have nothing but good things to say about the people I have worked with.
