The latest wave of polls shows President Obama’s job approval rating drifting steadily downward, into the mid-40s, and that’s hardly surprising.

Controversies around US government surveillance of telephones and the Internet, the Internal Revenue Service’s targeting of tea party groups, Justice Department snooping into journalists’ phone records, and the US response to last September’s terror attack in Benghazi, Libya, have put the Obama administration on the defensive.

Public views of Mr. Obama’s personal qualities have also taken a hit: The latest CNN/ORC International survey, released Monday, shows that, for the first time in his presidency, half the public does not believe Obama is honest and trustworthy. All of the above cuts into Obama’s “political capital,” that elusive commodity that fuels a president's second-term mojo.

I call it the Curse of David Drit and Jacob Lew...Ever since that chancy meet in Oahu, Hawaii, the Declining Fate has set in!!! The rest is History!!

Understands Fox News is in bed with the Republican.

Actually one of the main mouth pieces of the Republican Party.

So, their news breaks or whatever have to be taken with a grain of salt.

Just like what David Cheever "news break" on Hugo Chavez.

Even if his rating is down, it doesn't matter to him anymore

This is his second and last term. Rating up and down will not affect his duty to run the White House.

But, I think his rating will shoot up on the second half of his final term once all these current "issues" are off his table.

Time will tell. Politic is like a roller coaster.

Applies to every politician.

I agree in large with HAndersen: Still, Fox news and the latest Polls including that of Wall Street showed an un- mistakable facts that once clean records of Obama is now
tainted!

It is not for me to define the cause but for Obama to Re-define his presidency!!
