I'm not sure which ecomony Tony and Adriela are referencing. Surely not the taxpayers and legals picking up the benefit(s) slack. Slanted would be my view of the B.S.

Attrition through enforcement!

They all need to go home and let these slave owners clean their own toilets.

Attrition through enforcement is the only clear solution to the problem. They won't have to be 'rounded up if we enforce the law. They'll self deport. People just don't get it, do they?
Enforce the law to the fullest extent...the way the laws are written, with no exceptions.
No humanitarian excuses for any of them to stay either. They will all claim to have a humanitarian reason as to why they shouldn't be deported. Of course we know what their reasons will be. They have U.S. children here, their families will be torn apart...their usual whinning and crying.
Being allowed to use their anchors as bargining tools in exchange for citizenship and special treatment has to stop.

Yes it is. And Nothing is said about staying home and making their own country better so that American Citizens can take those jobs.

And it is hard to get into this country because so many people have criminal records it is ridiculous. Crime seems, also, to be the last thing they do before they go home to boot. And it is hard to get into this country because the people don't want those folks in this country. It is... AGAINST THE LAW.. and citizens, to this point, cannot cherry pick the law they want to obey. Put those employers in a work farm for a year and indoctrinate them with the thought that we all obey the laws, or change them if we don't like them.

Is anyone else sick of hearing about how lazy we Americans are? If we are so damn lazy, how did we manage to build a country, from literally nothing, into one of the most powerful countries on the planet? Lazy? Whose freaking lazy? How about the people who choose to cut and run from their own country instead of staying home and taking care of business to make it better?

I have been looking, high and low, for a full-time or part-time job to supplement the other part-time job that I have. I have sent out dozens of resumes and filled out even more applications and always hear that they are not hiring or simply not getting back with me. There are a lot of people in my position right now. I read the last few paragraphs of that article and became instantly peed off. If the jobs that illegals do were posted to the general public and offered to us we might actually have an opportunity to prove to the eggheads that we WILL do the jobs. However, I have yet to see an ad in the jobs section for grape pickers in my area. I would love to work outside all day and I hate a job that doesn't keep me busy. Not to mention the exercise it would provide and, of course, the killer tan. I don't have a chance to do those jobs because they are not made available to ME. Obviously, that means that I WON'T do them because I don't apply for them. Horsepucky.

"The Hispanics in the kitchen and landscaping -- those industries are very labor demanding. There are not a whole lot of people who want to do that for the wage being paid."

John Foster, the owner of Foster's Home Repairs & Maintenance in Lafayette, agreed.

"It would be a tremendous blow. They are very prevalent in our work force," he said. "Some of the work they do, we spoiled Americans aren't willing to roll up our sleeves and get dirty. If they went home, it would cause a lot of us to step up to home plate and get it done."

I still haven't figured out exactly what he was trying to say. The "spoiled" Americans thing is what got me. However, he is correct that I won't do some of the jobs that they do for what they get paid. A very "labor demanding" job requires a very "labor demanding wage", but, it is the companies that are unwilling to pay what the jobs are worth, but, no one blames them, they call us lazy and "spoiled". What a crock of SH!T! And since when is working in a kitchen THAT labor demanding? The cooks where I work spend most of their time reading books between orders and they get $9.00 an hour to do it. The economy is so crappy here, people aren't going out half as much as a year ago.

If they all went home, we would all have jobs and the companies that exploited the illegals and broke the law by hiring them might go away too.

I say, hasta la vista, baby. The American citizen has been standing at home plate waiting for a long time.

The fact that they will even suggest that if they were deported that they would simply "leave" their children here, is a reason to get rid of them. If I was going to be deported, their wouldn't be a question of whether my kids would go with me or not. Using a child as a bargaining tool is grounds for removing the child from anyone anyway. It's ridiculous that people feel pity for these lawbreaking, selfish, leeches when they use that excuse for being allowed to stay. I'm almost more afraid for our future with THEM than the illegals. It's like a lobotomy club or something. It frustrates me that they can't see the obvious.
