Read this: America & Japan vs. China. Who wins?
Hugh White July 5, 2014 inShare1

It is clear that an armed clash between Japan and China over the Senkaku/Diaoyu islands is a real possibility. If that happens Washington would face a very serious choice. Failing to support Japan militarily would fatally weaken the US-Japan alliance, torpedo President Obama’s ‘Pivot’, and undermine America’s whole position in Asia. But supporting Japan would mean going to war with China. Whether that would be wise depends, as much as anything, on how a US-China war over the Senkakus would play out.

The Point: Some extremists in Washington, DC are still having the Day dreams!
Diaoyu Island has been a part of China's since 4th Century...As A matter of fact: Okinawa belonged to China!! No one can defy History!!!

In recent months, the Residents of Okinawa Opposed being named as Island of Japan and voiced strongly for US Military Force to leave...

Xi's Soft Power will solve and delay any immediate Military confrontations and wait for the days when dwarf Japs died of Hunger and Starvation...

But, Patience has a Limit..When Dwarf Japs stepped out of its Confine and tried to pick a fight, their days are over!

America has hundreds of millions of hungry mouth to feed at home..The feudal and Corrupt Truman's Plot and Doctrine will sink the future of this land...

Let me be frank: It is A Totally different World..Those few Aircraft Carriers and so-called Stealth Bombers stationed in Guam and Okinawa will vanish in the thin air to no man's land with time...I don't need to tell but some one needs to think again!!! A small hint: A Nuclear Missile from Korea and China will make them disappear without a Trace!!

Here we are again!! Now we have decided the most of the Philippines, Vietnam and Thailand belong to China, lets move back to Japan!

China's rhetoric about Okinawa simply drips with phony crocodile tears. China is not the least bit concerned with the rights of the Okinawans. China is only interested in opportunistically prying Okinawa away from Japan so that China itself can draw Okinawa into its own sphere of influence. I know that Okinawans have some legitimate complaints against the central Japanese government (as well as with the US), BUT China is exploiting those complaints for its own selfish interest.

Like all those other long held islands in the West Philippine Sea and beyond, China is fishing in "troubled waters" like so many agents provocateurs, trying to "export China's brand of revolution." Instead, of paying government so-called researchers to come up with various pseudo-arguments about why Okinawa should be independent or could be part of China, China should clean up its own house, and solve its very own domestic human rights issues -- like labor camps, quality control of products, human trafficking and treatment of prostitutes, organ harvesting, corruption, etc.

China and Japan should not meddle in each others internal affairs. The fact is that the Ryukyus have been official territory of Japan since 1879 (and even since 1609 Ryukyus were under control of the Satsuma Clan). Any problems between what is now Okinawa Prefecture and the Japanese central government should be addressed and resolved by those two parties. Okinawans do not need nor appreciate China's phony concerns, which are a smoke screen for China's hegemonistic designs on Okinawa and any other territory in Asia with which China once had some sort of relationship -- if only by trade or inclusion on a navigation map from 700 years ago!!

RUNIN BRITANNIA ... come out of your foxhole. Better still, go back to school and read up REAL HISTORY and not comic books!

Just like what UK did to the Falkland Islands and Gibraltar .. you ceded the territory (land grab) by your superior war machine of that time.

Just like stolen historical artifacts, in time these HAVE to be returned back to the rightful owners despite having changed hands over the years!

A new world is on the horizon. Follow the REAL NEWS.

RUIN BRITANNIA,

Read what written! Think before you write
Comparing the Danes of yesteryear with the Brites of today ... what have you got ??

Name one country where the Danes still exercise "sovereignty" today.... Greenland!

As for Greenland, ask the Greenlandic Inuit for the REAL facts and what future will bring them.

Your ignrance is ffucking incredible. Do you really believe China have any chance against the U.S. Arm forces advanced technology? China's technology can not compare to ours. We have weapons unknown to the public. If we have to, we will use them and the Chinese will never know what the ffuck hit them. I know what I am talking about and you don't have a ffucking clue.

And, I strongly suggest you get your ffucking ass out of my country. We don't need any more traitors in our U.S. soil.

@ Cheever

Yes and No.

Same conclusion applies to both. Both have their state secrets in weaponry etc...

China may "officially" not compete with the might of US Army.

BUT, ask any Pentagon intelligent officers, they will tell you otherwise. AND, that is the checker piece that hinder any unilateral adventurism.

The recent case where the Chinese uninvitedly shows up right in the middle of the American navy exercise is a good case study.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-49280...

The uninvited guest: Chinese sub pops up in middle of U.S. Navy exercise, leaving military chiefs red-faced

When the U.S. Navy deploys a battle fleet on exercises, it takes the security of its aircraft carriers very seriously indeed.

At least a dozen warships provide a physical guard while the technical wizardry of the world's only military superpower offers an invisible shield to detect and deter any intruders.
That is the theory. Or, rather, was the theory.

American military chiefs have been left dumbstruck by an undetected Chinese submarine popping up at the heart of a recent Pacific exercise and close to the vast U.S.S. Kitty Hawk - a 1,000ft supercarrier with 4,500 personnel on board.

By the time it surfaced the 160ft Song Class diesel-electric attack submarine is understood to have sailed within viable range for launching torpedoes or missiles at the carrier.

According to senior Nato officials the incident caused consternation in the U.S. Navy.
The Americans had no idea China's fast-growing submarine fleet had reached such a level of sophistication, or that it posed such a threat.

One Nato figure said the effect was "as big a shock as the Russians launching Sputnik" - a reference to the Soviet Union's first orbiting satellite in 1957 which marked the start of the space age.

The incident, which took place in the ocean between southern Japan and Taiwan, is a major
embarrassment for the Pentagon.

The lone Chinese vessel slipped past at least a dozen other American warships which were supposed to protect the carrier from hostile aircraft or submarines.
And the rest of the costly defensive screen, which usually includes at least two U.S. submarines, was also apparently unable to detect it.

According to the Nato source, the encounter has forced a serious re-think of American and Nato naval strategy as commanders reconsider the level of threat from potentially hostile Chinese submarines.

It also led to tense diplomatic exchanges, with shaken American diplomats demanding to know why the submarine was "shadowing" the U.S. fleet while Beijing pleaded ignorance and dismissed the affair as coincidence.

Analysts believe Beijing was sending a message to America and the West demonstrating its rapidly-growing military capability to threaten foreign powers which try to interfere in its "backyard".

The People's Liberation Army Navy's submarine fleet includes at least two nuclear-missile launching vessels.

Its 13 Song Class submarines are extremely quiet and difficult to detect when running on electric motors.

Commodore Stephen Saunders, editor of Jane's Fighting Ships, and a former Royal Navy anti-submarine specialist, said the U.S. had paid relatively little attention to this form of warfare since the end of the Cold War.

He said: "It was certainly a wake-up call for the Americans.
"It would tie in with what we see the Chinese trying to do, which appears to be to deter the Americans from interfering or operating in their backyard, particularly in relation to Taiwan."
In January China carried a successful missile test, shooting down a satellite in orbit for the first time.
