Perhaps the stockholders and shareholders should have voted for some increased security funding, including shredders, instead of for the package that lined the top guns and their families' pockets with cash.
Such greed at the top of People's Bank! Where is david Carsen?

Seems like since People's went public, they have turned into a nickle and dime outfit, charging whatever fees they can and cutting corners on privacy issues and others. Their tellers are 20 watt!! NOT TOO BRIGHT !!

I was a People's customer for 9 years and closed my account in December 2006. Never looked back. Loving Wamu!

Again, the big dogs trying to put the blame on someone else rather than themselves. People's suck and I'm so glad I left them.

We all seem to fail to forget what People's United is all about !!! Yes, they have had some incidents, but most importantly...we should be grateful to have such a great community bank in the State. The question we should be asking ourselves is "How many lives do People's United touch throw all they community service?" I think that's the most important fact, specially in today's society.

****Peoples United Bank employees should also be held responsible for being nosey. They have access to all our information and how much we have in our accounts. That information should be limited to employees, esp if they are not in the branches. Why are people always looking one another up...fire them

Not to defend the bank, but the information that James hastings obtaines also included transation receipts that the customers thew away themselves, so if you're going to blame anyone, you have to look at a bigger picture, not only what you read from one source. CT Post has a reputation of not liking People's Bank in the first place, and some of the articles are based on opinions and not true facts.

Transaction receipts don't have social security numbers on them.

The law firm is in it to make money for themselves. They don't care about anyone but shaking down the bank to line their greedy pockets. In the end, if settled, customers would receive $1.10 and the lawyers will get millions. Let's talk about the injustice of that!

My health insurance has been terminated because of Peoples United Bank. Peoples United Bill Pay misdirected checks intended for my COBRA health insurance payments. I was not notified. Found out, phoned in a payment. Peoples did not honor. Peoples said the party that got the check in error did not pay it back in time to cover payment. Two checks sent to my attorney were "returned" to Peoples according to a customer service message hidden under several tabs on my online account. The money was returned to my account more than a week and a half later. The attorney said he never got the checks. Please check your online account and make sure that bills are paid thru bill payer. Peoples changed my records to make it appear to be my fault (you typed the wrong name, you sent to CT instead of TX). No. I am a computer professional with time stamped copies of all of my transactions. Peoples is lying to cover themselves.

People's bank ALWAYS has a 20 minute waiting line of customers. Does anyone want to wait 20 minutes to get to a teller? Any bank that lets a situation like that occur is obviously a poorly managed bank.
