To all of the employees at Elwood, Moraine, Romulus2 and Byesville, some of us here at Leamington wish to say that we are sorry to hear about your job loss. At least they managed to give you more notice than we got. Good luck in the future. Tomorrow, May 16, is our final day at our job and it is going to be hard to walk in there knowing that when we punch out, that it is going to be our last time. Good true friends are hard to come by and yes, so are good jobs but I will miss my friends that I have made over the years more so than the job. Yes I will miss the paycheque every week but I will survive. So to all my co-workers, it was fun while it lasted but like all good things, it must come to an end. To you Americans-God Bless and Good Luck!!

Well Said! Good Luck to everyone! |

The finance companies runnig Plastech are the big3. They took over to secure their interests. Tooling is a big issue at the courts and too make sure the get their products. No news here on much of anything. Spoke to a lawyer today and he stated there might not be any severance for the union folks. But we will see. |

I'm sorry, I wasn't clear. I meant: what are the Browns going to do now? |
What do most rich people do. Spin up something else to distroy the little guy. The Browns have been milking the company dry. I can assure you that they are not hurting.

1 Exactly, they will walk away without a care in the world and VERY well off. They have been taking care of themselves damn good. You can see for yourself. Start at about page 396 on the attached link. http://www.donlinrecano.com/dr201/pep/sofas/0... |

1 Holy cow. Jim Brown taking in $176,000 per MONTH while the company is failing!?(page 396) What a POS. Julie taking almost $2 million herself in a couple of months?! THis is personal salary. Nice sacrifice to make their company succed/sarcasm. What a couple of PsOS. Serveral executive country club dues of well over $100/month?! They remind me of Detroit's mayor - had all kinds of benefits to get to the top and now think they're "special" and above the other people. Lost reality. There's a special place in h e l l for these creeps. |
look how many executives are named "Nguyen". Probably idiots but Julie's family. What a group.

Hey just to let you all that looked a the court papers know. I have been to the Fairlane Country Cluband let me tell you its a nice place. Now Either the live in the condos in back or the eat there a lot. Food is great. Between that and their pay we know why the company had money issues.
The Fairlane CC is listed as 'Club Dues.' |
They don't change from month to month. It is a very high amount don't you think? |
I will chime in here quick about this. Chrysler paid our severance here not Plastech. Lance (HR Plastech) stated to us that our "In Lieu" pay which is required for Plastech to pay us in Ontario by not giving us enough Notice of Closure will not be given either. In attempt to try and recover this our Union is implementing Legal Action against Plastech. Still no guarantee we will ever see that money. I just thought I would share that we had to resort to hitting up the Customer to give us any Severance at all. How is that for pathetic? |
There are several line item's that are listed as Fairlane Country Club Membership Dues. I personally would not know how much one pays for Country Club Dues, all I know is what is listed. http://www.donlinrecano.com/dr201/pep/sofas/0... |

The laws are a little different here in the states. It was explained to me that in Canada a company has to leave you with some thing. My information could be wrong though. From what I understood you folks accross the river really got short notice but it was in the guidelines of your labor dept. A little news JCI is the only bidder for the interior division. The Exterior division has 2 bidders names not disclosed till Monday or Wed. Stamping has no bidders nor does carpet. Good luck to us all. Oh yeah if your perspective plant re-opens you have to re-apply fo a job with the new company. Good luck everyone |
the two bidders are magna and flex n gate or something like that
Just to let you know that our notice was not within the guidelines of our Labour Dept. Canadian law requires a company to give 12 weeks notice, we got 2 weeks. So by law they are suppose to pay you the other 10 weeks of wages, and they are not doing that. |
"c a r p e t" is censored??? Weird. |
