"The investment, which GM plans to announce during an Automotive Press Association luncheon Tuesday in Detroit, is expected to add a second shift at the factory and create 1,400 jobs, unnamed sources told the newspaper."
Yeah, so the new CEO is in front of Congress trying to explain how so many GM vehicles needed a 57 cent fix on the ignition switch and it was let go for 10 years. GM got rid of the Good ol' boys and threw Momma under the train. This would have to be a board of directors decision. It's time to stop firing executives and get a board of directors that have a clue as to what is going on in America. Executive decisions or not, for 10 years the board of directors at GM had NO clue of the ignition switch problems? For 10 years there wasn't ONE executive that made a change to the ignition design? This goes beyond "falling through the cracks" and into the realm of criminal endangerment and gross negligence on the part of GMs Upper management. Where in the hell was the NHTSB in all of this?
