They were in a parking lot going 3mph...do you carry a helmet with you everywhere you go? The "boy" aka. Ricky did not know he was going to be able to get a ride IN THE PARKING LOT.

This is the wrong picture to post with such a touching story. CT law states that anyone 17 years or younger on a motorcycle must wear a helmet. Whether it was a short trip or not, Ricky should have had a helmet on.

Automobile riders are required to wear a seat belt according to the law if the car is moving. I'm sorry but Ricky should have worn a helmet. If the operator of the bike didn't have one, someone should have stepped up and provided one.

Ct law states that a helmet is required if the rider is 17 and under and on public roads. since this was a parking lot it does not apply. also, i was going about 3MPH, a child can run faster than that.. should he wear a helmet to walk or run too? get over it. it was an event to help a child. stop bitching already.

that what i am saying. typical Liberals of CT want every aspect of their life run by the government. The kid got a small ride and a chance to enjoy life for a moment. People need to look at the big picture and see how this group got together and gave back to the community. Why does everyone always have to look at every little detail...Why don't you call the cops and have this law breaker arrested.

Dear Ryan, God Bless! Don't listen to these haters that probably have never even gotten on a bike. You are an inspiration to us all! I don't know the family but I would to thank you so much for taking the time to give Ricky such a wonderful experience. It does my heart good to see a fellow biker(s) giving back to the community. I'll be talking to some of my family and we may check out your group and join you in such great work! We currently have about 4 couples in the family that ride (some are on a bike trip through Tennessee right now!) and it would be great to combine beautiful rides with helping children in need! Thanks again for the inspiration, keep it up!:)

Shut up, you idiot. No one wants to listen to you and your self-righteous vomit. Leave the kid and his sickness to the people that care.

Let's focus on the reason this event took place. The Knights of the Crusade are to be commended for their dedication to acts of charity and compassion - especially in support of this local family whose child has bravely battled leukemia for half of his young life. Kudos to all who participated.

Thank you for a job well done. Please disregard any criticism because your critics are not those who went out of their way to help a sick child and his family. They were too busy posting nasty comments. Your group is to be commended.

As a fellow rider who lost my wife do to the same illness I wish to say thank you to all that attended. The only negative thing that I could say would be that I wish I had known so I could have joined in.
