so this woman CEO is suppose to be among the brightest and best at GM?
she has worked at GM for 30 years in a number of various departments getting a cross section education on the GM process?
Yet with all her years experience and cross training she claims she never heard about the ignition problem? not even a hint or rumor?
what is she deaf, blind? there must have been rumors, talk at the water cooler , some memo some talk in the hall way or elevator some time out lining the problem?
or was there a collective program to ignore the problem and hope it would g away.
and what about Government an union people on the board of directors ?? they never heard anything or ask any questions??
let GM go bankrupt again any company this dumb and deaf isn't worth saving

There was a conspiracy at GM to keep this quiet. They found the problem and changed the part without changing the part number, which would be common in such cases. Using the same part number prevented tracking and diluted the high failure group with non-failures from the revised part so the overall performance would seem more normal.

But what about the question of leadership at GM the brightest and best minds at GM like the CEO must have known about this.

Goes without saying she knew. Ms. Berra is parsing every word to get through this thing. She can only hope there is no email or memo that sneaks out showing she was aware of the deaths caused by the part. The files have all been cleansed by now.

face it folks the CEO of GM did not present a picture of leadership, compentance or knowledge when she appeared in hearings in Washington this past week.
she sounded like obozo inept unqualified to be were she is. another example of the peter principal .
she may have been appointed CEO to fall on the sword for GM
take the blame for the failed GM cars.........

Well, the one senator said her answers were gobbledygook and I cheered.
