Ford to close three European plants, cut 6,200 jobs
Ford Motor Co. expects to lose $1.5 billion in Europe this year, reducing its capacity on the continent by nearly 20 percent and expects to save nearly half a billion dollars annually by closing three plants, the company confirmed Thursday.Full Story

Regulations, Taxes, The Only American name-plate to NOT take Obama's bailout, aside from Ford's connection to European Sports Car heritage (Cosworth/Webber), it's a no Brainer.
Why doesn't anyone blame the U.S. Government (regulations/taxes), instead of the struggling U.S. Manufacturers?????

What does the American government have to do with Ford operations in the United Kingdom???
In any case, the Southampton factory is where the Ford Transit was made. It's as iconic to an Englishman as an F-150 to an American.
