You are sooo good! I baked one time for strike duty but all the local businesses are donating tons of food to the strike line from pizza and wings to donuts and more--they are feeling the pinch as is any business. These are smart business people, they know who pays their bills--we even go out of our way to patronize these businesses during the strike--of course very limited!!!! And I could not agree with you more! I have always given the 110% and will receive my rewards in my early retirement! Hope your day went well!

The Real Real Truth wrote: <quoted text> One more thing, UAW has been trying to organize Toyota down south for years, and it still isn't happening. What's the problem? The workers are too smart to join a union. If you have some current information let me know what website your checking. Also, Toyota when it built the plant, told the workers if they unionize then the plant will be closed. And they have a right to do that. So I don't want to hear any cry baby stories about union busting. Obviously Toyota is a good company, makes better cars than anything here in the U.S. Seems like those hard working union boys are jealous of this, but then again shat would they know? Here, educate yourself instead of providing disillusional information!! http://www.dollarsandsense.org/archives/2007/... You may be a business man but you do not sound like someone who is educated as most educated people usually know what they are talking about when commenting and don't need to fabricate information to make a point. You should let us worry about our jobs instead of posting false propaganda. Like I said before you don't know the true facts and contrary to your beliefs, many of AAM workers do have college degrees. I would tell you that the workforce at AAM is the reason AAM thrived in times that others were going bankrupt, but you wouldn't believe me as you are too egotistical to think that anyone other than the CEO had anything to do with it. BTW: AAM has best quality in the industry so where do you get your facts that union workers can't make quality products? Oh, I forgot you seem to know it all.

Sorry, you can't educate yourself on one person's opinion. You must research and get all the facts. And if those AA workers have degrees, then they should be able to find employment elsewhere. Let's just hope they don't have AA degrees or degrees in fields like music or art. And as far as Axle products, who is to say they can't get the same quality, or better quality for that matter, from their plants in Mexico and China. And by doing this they save money, one thing they don't have to worry about in Mexico and China is the 20% absenteeism rate of these so called "hard" working union boys in the U.S. So if you don't mind I'll stick to my facts, not your opinions. Thank you.

Thank you. Obviousley you have selfserving intrests like most CEOs, and do not care to see the real truth. How can a company(not only the CEOs) benefit when they pay slave wages to the very people they should value as assets rather than trying to exploit thir workers for the good of a few select men. Why do you think that auto and home sales have stalled because corporate America has been given free reigns by their political allies, and the corporations of America are taking FULL advantage of this opportunity. Think about it, if we are the greatest country in the world then why should we have to compete for wages with countries that are inferior? Is it because we also want to become a third world country? You can believe whatever propaganda you want but one fact is that the ratio of pay between CEO's and their employees was 42:1 in 1980 and today it is 488:1, so maybe this will help you see what is occuring in the good old USA. I think most of the effected population is beginning to see this and I am sure that it will change either politically or by the people finally waking up and saying, "enough is enough."

yahoo!!! Im hoping this all comes to an end!! As for The real real truth... your comment to me a few days ago telling me about being greedy, and if my husband is so educated he can get another job... well just so happens.. HE DID!!! and at the rate of pay he would be getting at AMM.. so I guess he came out ahead..leaving the company.. still making the $$$ and also getting a buy out of $50,000(28,000 after taxes). The comments about these men and women being uneducated is simply not true, a machinist does not just walk off the street and get in, you have to have some sort of background and education not to mention skill. I hope that all of the people have faired well with this strike and now everyone can move on from there.

You are definitely one intelligent brother! It is tough to teach old/uneducated people like RRT who believes in just reading the liberal left news material and not take full advantage of well roundness of reading conservative, republican and democratic material then make up your mind which is the truth! Good luck to you--hope the contract is decent!

You should go back to college and get yourself a 2-year technical degree so you can find employment as a technician somewhere making $12-$15/hr, Hans. Now that the forge is closing I won't have to listen to the whiny AA&M workers at my marina complain about how hot it is in there. For being so hot in a forge they sure liked to work all the overtime they could. I suppose there will be some open slips next year as these tallywhackers sell off the boats and wives start divorcing them now that the cash flow has been cut down.

They dont have the same quality...not even close..every 5th axle on the line is bad and it has been discovered that the axles are falling off or blowing up on the Buick Rondeveus and now with the price of Deisel fuel I dont think they are saving any money on shipping the axles from Mexico all the way to Michigan, and Canada..its probably killing them on costs

And the only losers are in union jobs, that eliminates me. I'll just keep on keeping on, what I do is my business anyway, not yours. Like I said before, you don't like what I blog, don't read it.
