That depends a great deal on which are actually building their designs as well as which are building them affordably. If the building did not cost less to build than a stick-built house, it greatly detracts from its user-friendly appeal.
LOT-EK is interesting because they spend the money in R&D but, that I know of, haven't built any of their designs and rightfully so since they don't respond when a potential client shows an interest.

I've seen DeMaria's projects and visited one under construction. These are really innovative and exciting just to walk through. The buildings are really big. I was expecting a small houses but the project in Venice has fourteen cargo containers that make up the entire building. The work looks great in the photos but to see it in person and walk through it is inspiring. The shape or form or proportion or whatever, I can't put my finger on it, but it just feels right when your in it. I'm not so sure this should be a "who's the best" poll. All of them, I'm sure, are doing great work.

the demaria projects are just mindboggling. I've been contracting for over 20 years and have seen it all, but his work gives me a good surprise every time
