My name is Dominic and I live in Bellevue, WA. I've always been on the side of the green, but I've never actually actively voiced my opinion on the importance of maintaining the stability of our environment. However the main reason for my post is to spread my opinion about a product has helped me be ecofriendly and cost effective.

I've recently stumbled across a product that I'm pretty excited about for a multitude of reasons, but before I say what it is, I'm going say what it isn't.

It's a not a green product made by a large company hoping to cash in on the earth conscious' dollars. It's not an eco-product that costs twice as much as it's non-eco counterpart. It's not something that the larger corporations are going to want anyone to know about because it's going to save me and my family a lot of money and help cut down polutants.

This product is an infared heater and it's produced by the bEarthWise company.( www.bEarthWise.com ) <-----Awesome mission statement.

I live in a condo in Bellevue and in the winter my energy bill has been through the roof. It was about a year and a half ago that my brother in Law introduced me to the bEarthWise infared heaters. He's a lawyer specializing in Environmental Law and for some reason he managed to procure one for me as a gift. I plugged that baby in and to my surprise... it worked like a charm. I would have never thought that such a product exists because it doesn't get hot to touch, it simply produces warm air. The big wow to me was when I got my energy bil for the month. My god my bill went down 40%. This coupled with the fact that it doesn't emit any carbon monoxide. Simply put... I love it. It's definately worth checking out at: http://www.bearthwise.com/

then follow the link to infared heaters. for more info on the infared heaters go to: http://ewheaters.com/

At the very least, check them out and you won't be disappointed.
cheers,

The heater he is talking about is the Comfort zone. I found it on http://infraredappliances.com/index.html . Works great for me also so I don't mind posting it here.

They also seem to have an air purifier. Looks like the real thing too, not just some ion blaster. I found it here http://www.sterilairpurifiers.com/product700.... .

Hope that helps anyone else interested.

The safest of the Infrared heaters is the Solar Comfort. Why? Because it does not have plastic, no quartz bulbs but rather uses Infrared lamps that are used in farming, food industry, heating and saunas.

It also does not have all the digitals, computer chips and motherboards that are known to fail.

It has been around the longest since 1984. I know of many people that still have them in their homes since 1980s still working.

It has the only modular case. This is good because if you have a case change need it is simple to replace.

It is the only Infrared heater on the market that you can not only easily change lamps on but also tell if they are all functioning without tear down.

This is a good place to get one or look at them:

I bought one as well, but the newest model has both the best infrared heating technology available as well as an air filtration system. My family has loved both these technologies since my husband has had cancer and radiation, nothing seemed to keep him warm. He loves the true warmth from our CZ Infrared. I love the fact that it is also filtering the unhealthy winter indoor air from our home. Our CZ Infrared came from EarthWise Technologies www.bEarthwise.com I highly recommend one.

My Solar Comfort came through http://www.solarcomfortheating.com . The Solar Comfort Infrared Heater actually has a real high quality filter that lifetime. All you do is wash it with soap and water.
I have compared the Solar Comfort filter to all the other brands and I was amazed at the quality of the filtration system that Solar Comfort uses. In fact, a guy told me that his company uses the same filtration as the Solar Comfort for high end electronics. He said they are real good filters.

Besides I would not feel comfortable leaving these other plastic heaters on while I am not home. I know of a guy that his melted. I also know of another guy with the quartz style heaters unlike the Solar Comfort and his wall outlet and heater cord fried. He said it was because as he turned his TV on and off with his TV remote that his heater was going off not knowing it. It fried it.

Anyways best to do your research like I did. I bet you end up after research with the Solar Comfort.
