Anthony wrote: Whirlpool Duet washers are a piece of crap however the service at Whirlpool is worse. I had my washer go out after 7 months. I have had parts of back order for over three weeks and Whirlpool refuses to make it right. I am not an unreasonable person but do except a 1300 peice to last more than 7 months. If my organization provided service like this it would go out of business. I hope Whirlpool does!!!!!!! You know i am sorry for your pain but are you stupid why would you want an American company to ever go under, i understand staying rue to your warranty and backing your product, but have you ever stop to think mayby part of the reason for products failing has to do with how low consumers & foreign companies like lg and fridgedare have ruin the market with cheap knock offs. Now i realize that we all want bargains but sometimes you get what you pay for. Yes some American companies are greedy but wich is waorse transporting jobs over seas or supporting our own homegrown products. pose this question to your self. can i stay away from Walmart and it's support of chinnese products and spend a little more to keep our fellow americans at work? support american products, but keep making them live up to the promise of great innovations and products. wish you luck. Buy American!

We have all Whirlpool and Kitchen-Aid appliances, paid a fortune because they were supposed to be the best. Our front load small Whirlpool Washer has been broke for 3 months, and we have made many calls and given promises, but still no part or replacement. I am writing the Better Business Bureau and sending a complaint to the CEO Jeff Fettig as well as Chris Miller. We are telling all our friends not to buy Whirlpool.

Everyone could try jeff_m_fettig@whirlpool.com
I sent something recently and didn't receive a notice that it isn't a good email address so I imagine it is correct.

I've heard a lot about Whirlpool & Maytag. Any complaints about Jenn-Aire or Kitchenaid?

I have a Whirlpool Frontloader brought in 2005 24th July. serial number 410515000604 and the model number awm 8120 6th sense. It is rusting all around the door.It also has pieces about 3cm round coming off the bottom and the door. This should not happen at three yers old. It looks like it was not painted properly in the first place. It seems to me Whirlpool is not a good brand to buy. If only they take their responsabilties on this product. Then I would be a happy customer.

If there is no water inside the washer, make sure both valves are turned on all the way, check for kinked inlet hoses and check the inlet valves on back of the washer. What kind of hoses are you using? If they are flood safe hoses I would advise getting rid of them. They are great in theory but they don't allow the proper water to come into the washer. The flood safe hoses sense that there is a burst and shut off so no water can enter the washer. If there is water inside the washer, press the pause/cancel button twice to clear the display. The washer will drain the water before unlocking the door. I would have the tech come back again. The tech should check out the wiring harness to the inlet valves, the pressure switch, the drain pump and the central control unit. He should be able to run a diagnostic test on the central control unit to make sure everything is working correctly. I hope this helps with resolving your issue.

Eileen wrote: Whirlpool front load duet washer and dryer purchased on July 1, 2007. F20 error on September 1, 2007. A&E has been to our home on three different occasions. September 5th he stated that he didn't know what the problem was so he ordered three parts (electric board, hose and switch) which took three weeks to arrive. The parts were replaced the technician left and I still got the F20 error. The technician came back the third time and stated there was a loose connection and everything was fine. I went to do a load of clothes that night, October 1st and got the F20 error again. The problem has gotten worse since this last repair visit. Initially the machine would go through the wash cycle and the error would appear on the rinse cycle. Now it goes into F20 as soon as the wash cycle begins. A& E has scheduled yet another appointment on October 10th with a "senior" technician. How long must this go on before they admit they either don't know what they are doing or the machine cannot be repaired????? I had another authorized repairman check and he could not find the problem. Eileen, we also purchased a Whirlpool Duet from Lowe's in Dec. 2007. We were quite sure we purchased an Extended warranty at the time. Now we get letters from Whirlpool saying our factory warranty is running out..do we want to purchase an Extended Warranty? Lowes has no record of of buying extnded....I need to find my paperwork. We had one problem with the washer "walking & shaking" about a week after installation. Guess Maytag sends their people out on Whirlpool appliances. He fixed the problem. Now we're having problems with the dryer door. Just letting off steam. Did you get your problems corrected?
