I agreee with pjs65 - the people like Julie, Mtgolfer and wjc3rd are probably fat and have 5 kids each.
Julie wrote "Plus smokers are an extra burden on the health care system and should have to pay more." - so are people that are fat, have history of cancer, heart disease, etc. INSURANCE is for all people - not just ingnorant non-smokers. I am sure these people have never lied on a life insurance policy, resume/job application, etc. Get off your hig horse.

Maybe you should go out with the pro-life people and hold signs of a fetus, they need a life too.

But you people have no problem with smokers footing the tax bill that you all are too irresponsible to pay yourselves.
Pathetic.
To all the blowhards: YOU'RE WELCOME.
I paid for my right to be sanctimonious; where do you get yours?
I can quit smoking...but most of you people will still be irresponsible losers.
I'd hope that any snitches are maligned and ridiculed at work. Talk about a hostile workplace. Could you imagine working with such a bunch of worthless sloths whose own pathetic lives make them worry about others?
Plus, contrary to the ignorance displayed by many here, smokers in the long run actually SAVE insurance companies money. But what use do you sanctimonious blowhards have for facts? They don't make you feel better about your sorry selves.

It's gross negligence to let yourself go like that. I'm tired of paying extra to keep Jabba the Hut alive.... Your health rates are going up because the insurance companies want more money. It's just that people like you are willing to buy into their bee ess and actually argue in contrivance of your self interest. You are what I call a wage slave. Why should people be expected to stick up for themselves when people like you make it quite clear that you'll allow yourself to actually be manipulated into doing the corporations' bidding for them? Pathetic.

You'll be taking a lie detector test every day! Another scaremonger trying to justify his disgusting habit. Look up fallacious arguments. You will learn something and help your debate skills at the same time. Nice try but it won't work.....

My guess is that the polluted cesspool known as Indiana has more to do with health problems than smoking does.
With their environmental record, I would think the insurance companies would gouge Indiana customers based on where they live and work.

I sincerely hope all of you aren't the gun-ho liberals wanting universal health care. Your world is going to turn upsidedown!
You all sound grossly ignorant and prejudice. I'm sure all of you are saints, and have never lied about anything! By golly, I bet that all of you recycle and eat right and drive hybrids and are kind to your neighbors!
I'm sure you don't spend your sorry days on the internet whining about someone else's lifestyle choice and then making horrible remarks about "fat people". Maybe you were the same people that wanted a disabled adult to undergo forced sterilization.
Naw, couldn't be you people!

Gotta love the fat people using the powered shopping carts at the stores. if anyone needed a walk it is them. Oh wait, they have an uncontrollable illness which forces them to eat too much. It isn't their fault I guess....

Fat people should have to pay higher premiums as well as smokers. Maybe then they'll finally have an incentive to get off their duff and get their lives in order. It's all about individual choices. I don't want to have to pay for people's fatness.

Now I see where the numbers come from. I always wondered where these smoke ban zealots come uf with their numbers claiming that only 20% are smokers. It's a good way to twist numbers when people who say they smoke pay extra.

Luckily, they'll find 39 illegals to take these people's places, at a far lower salary. Hopefully the illegals aren't all fat drunks.

Ann, "I bet that there are a lot more that lie about their citizenship. I hope tht they go after them also."
That was uncalled for, shows what kind of a bigot you are. So what are you saying, anytime you see a hispanic person, you want authorities to question their citizenship. Shame on you.
