Sure, Obama is doing very well with the white Democrat voter's. That's to be expected. What I don't believe is he will do as well with white Independent voter's,yourself excluded. They are not going to forget, or dismiss the Wright incident as easily as the Democrats will. He needs those votes to win in November.
Maybe. I think Independent voters of all colors understand the Wright thing was orchestrated into the frenzy it was and that it served it's purpose as the "sound byte du jour".

Those who are serious will now start looking at the final two candidates real platform and start assessing each item listed.

This is only a President. To be truly effective she/he must persuade a majority in the Senate and House to agree and fund every idea.

And Hillary never would have gotten into the starting gate if she wasn't Bill (the cigar) Clinton's wife, or whatever you call two people that basically just co-habitate together.
I was thinking along the lines of ( the polished knob) myself. LOL.

I'm an “Independent" and don’t know how I will vote in November; a lot of water to flow under my bridge before that decision needs to be made.
That said, I question your hypothesis that Barrack can’t capture the white vote in November. I see no reason at this time to assume that is true. The Democrats, like the Republicans have a very diverse demographic makeup. Certainly you don’t believe to-date that just blacks have voted for Barrack and just whites for Hillary, do you? Should the Democrats unite and vote along party lines they will have a considerable number. Then there are the Independents (by declaration or philosophy within each party) that will vote individually as they deem appropriate.
I think if you and others truly examine the hypothesis that Barrack can’t capture the white vote, you’ll find that hypothesis was born from your own bias.
imho
Don't you mean a lot of [bulls--t] to flow under your bridge?

I watched Howard Dean being interviewed on tv and he looked like a nut before he ever opened his mouth to confirm it. I believe he is hurting Democrats a lot more than helping and should be replaced.
Did you see the Almond Joy in his mouth also? LOL

Dunnin: I agree with you on Obama and McCain. I know that Maria has responded to several of your post, but I would appreciate her telling us what changes Obama is planning and how he will implement these changes.
Yes, I do think he will get the Democratic nomination and he will lose in November
Well naturally he will lose. Hardly anybody wants to admit it, but, McCain will be the Man of the years.

Liza,
This information is widely available on the internet, but here are a few nuggets to get you started:
1. End the war in Iraq
2. Rebuild America's standing in the world
3. Shrink the deficit by stopping the Iraq deficit spending
4. Focus on areas that are actually a threat to America like Afghanistan
5. Revive American diplomacy and multilateralism
6. Create a national health care system for all Americans
7. Transform our economy through energy independence
8. Lower taxes on the middle class
9. Renegotiate trade deals to protect workers and the environment
10. Protect internet neutrality
Those are just off the top of my head. Good luck in your research!
To a lot of people the saying is: You can talk the talk, but, can you walk the walk? JMO

How in the world can you assume that I don't vote?
You know, if I were on here blasting Bush, you'd be giddy as hell. You people have been doing it now for what, 8 years, and that's your prerogative. Tell me why you get so defensive when someone has anything to say about Obama? Is there a double standard going on here?
Oh well, what the hell. Gots to blast somebody.
