Irene Causes Historic Flooding In Vermont

Floodwaters brought by Tropical Storm Irene began to recede Monday in Vermont, but the governor warned that further flooding and loss of life are likely ahead for the small, rural state.

He cannot wait to get back to the Senate,give a Speech for 10 hrs,as to how and why,Vermont should get more money than NOLA!!....

Myself, having lived in the Gulf States, I as many others are unimpressed with Hurricane Irene. We've lived through a lot worse. And we're very much aware that building on a flood plain is a foolish risk. "Wake Up" East Coast!

Do any of these states have money "put away"
in disaster funds? Apparently not....
Then why not?

States should have some responsiblity???

True to a degree...this Hurricane Irene did not have a CAT number...Unlike all the Gulf, and fla. hurricanes....Charlie was a CAT 5,KATERINA a CAT 4.

I learned that this years track patterns will favor the east coast of the USA...Records show its a pattern that has existed before...comes in pairs....the next Hurricane is but 9,or 10 days away...Will it do the damage this tropical storm IRENE did? Or will it have HURRICANE Winds..we shall see...in any event..BAD NEWS!!
