From all accounts the late Elvis Presley was far more sophisticated than Elaine Dundy's friends.

Just ask "The Irish Times" Literary correspondent Eileen Battersby......she discovered Elvis's beautiful "Emotionally Intelligent" voice 25 years after he died! She now collects Elvis CDs. A very intelligent woman!

Mind you I only discovered Ludwig Van Beethoven's wonderful music when I was 22 years old in 1964!

Elaine Dundy's "Elvis and Gladys" is an eye-opener of a book. Elvis Presley was a far more complex man than many learned people realise. After all how many actually took the time?
Even though Library shelves are groaning under the weight of more than 1,000 Elvis biographies, by Academics and lowly Elvis fans.:-)
