John Sullivan ran Liz IT into the ground and now he will do the same at QVC. He lacks focus and most importantly strategic vision. All he will do is try to bleed every IT employee dry until they resign. All the good people will head for the door just like what happened at Liz. He really should feel guilty given his compensation and lack of qualifications.

I worked for John for many years. He is a man of integrity & was an incredible boss. He did a fantastic job at Liz and always held a strong focus and clear vision for the company. He will do an amazing job at QVC, as he did for many years at Liz.

Seriously, John isn't either of the 2 above. He is just average and a little slow when trying to understand concepts. I found him rather difficult to work with and spent too much time trying to make him understand things.

He was hired by his friend John Thompson the CIO of Liz who is now the COO of Best Buy. That was a strange relationship and made it obvious why Sullivan got the position at Liz. But, that happens in a lot of places. I have no idea why QVC hired him. However, Sullivan is big on contacts so he might have known someone there. I can't think of any reason why someone who hire in for such an important position otherwise.

Personally, I would not want to work for him or with him again. However, I'm sure there are some that might.
