Why do the airlines or in this case the TSA feel they have to announce this to all? When the people go through the chk points and its not taken they will know. NO NEED to announce this change. Ridiculous!

This was all part of the plan/indoctrination to making flying a 100% ordeal. All they had to do after 911 was secure the door a get a little more aggressive on searches. This was/IS about control.

The TSA and goverment is hoping something will happen to say they told you so and go back to the way it was. This could've been lifted a lot earlier. But it was about trying to make it the accepted norm.

Slowly and incrementally we get that much closer to a radical change that never would've been dreamed of pre 9-11. If you can contol the mobility of a population they should be easier to control. Throw in those in system who want their job handed to them on a silver platter with policy that favors them the airline industry will continue to suffer along with the public.

This is why I don't fly anymore. I fly less one tenth of what I did pre 911.
