I say Executive Airlines d/b/a American Eagle (brand), however that still leaves 5 airlines to go.

JetBlue, and Southwest (well AirTran is being integrated) seem to be managed very efficiently and profitably as one carrier, will American Airlines Group take a lesson from their efficiecy to make profit for the company?

I was hoping to see the current AA BOD on this list. absent that I agree Executive is he most expendable.

Obviously, the new business entity and enterprise, American Airlines Group, has waaaaay too many certificates, and duplication of management, operational, maintenance, and training structure to compete successfully with the JetBlue's and Southwest's of the world.

Doug Parker needs to get down to operating only one certificate and employee group. Ejets can be operated by mainline crews just as effectively and economically as the outsourced and subcontracted Ejets, Horton is trying to do.

Don't forget that fine team of execs and the BOD that let it get that way

Piedmont has been shrinking for years and 2 planes will reach cycle limits this year. There is very little interest in turbo props among the major airlines in this country.
The small fleet of dash's are very old and parts are getting hard to come by since the dash8-100 has been out of production for years.
They may be good on fuel economy but they can only carry 35 passengers and sometimes less.
When they go, some small cities with short runways will be dropped such as Hilton Head,SC.

Apparently, OW (Executive Airlines d/b/a American Eagle) operated its last flight in March.

Is this certificated now avaiable, or will it just be surrendered.

So long ATR 72's at American Airlines Group.

Any terrorism resurgence could not come at a better time for US Airways..... remember TWA???

Well blaming national security is just one way to get rid of a workforce! I wonder if Doug Parker will be as ruthless.

Any changes here?

Will Mesa Airlines / Group somehow be added to this mix?
