You are completely underestimating the wages of Union leaders. My Union president will make over a million this year. Last year he only made $700,000. Poooooooor thing!

Unions are just another big business (my airline sent $33 Million to the pilot union last year) and if the leaders can make an extra buck selling their members down the river, they will. This is why unions concentrate more on work rules that require higher staffing (therefore more card carrying members) rather than higher wages.

It's not a regional if you can board it in Chicago and get out of it in Houston or Tampa. With advent of "regional" jets, these airlines are operating as if they are national carriers and in cases have replaced DC9 type flying.
