More overpaid executives. More angry employees to give the customers a hard time. More reasons to avoid United.

As a former United employee, I took the layoff and doubled the money I made at United. I see management is up to the same old tricks. rewarding the same people that put them in the whole to begin with. I hope like hell that the employees strike or take the company down. remember when United wanted to Merge with US Scare ways the first time? How much ESOP money went to US Scare ways? My hopes are with you guys.

Lost $500 mil in the first quarter. Didn't meet any customer service or financial goals last hear. News flash Jean, you don't have any exceptional leadership. At least maybe by retaining the people you have you'll keep them from poisoning some other unsuspecting company. By the way, is that $130 million coming from the 1100 jobs UA is cutting?

Where is the leadership in this? Reward who? These losers in high towers who have not done anything for its customers (both internal & external).
I do see losership in this situation, and may be that's what they are getting paid for, for being #1 Losers. Now I get it why they have Terminal # 1 at O'Hare.

150 million didn't do it, they need another 130 million to get deeper in the hole.
stock holders, please remember to vote.

That $130 million don't just materialize from out of the air it comes out of the ticket price U pay them to fly. If YOUR ticket price was a few dollars less, that $130 million would never accumulate and these executives would not get rich on YOUR ticket money. Your the guy paying them the big bucks. Just hope your very happy to do it for them. And you wonder WHY the employees have a bad attitude. The employees have given up almost every dollar they have gained in the last 10 years. THEY work harder for les money and are supposed to be happy chearful workers at the same time they are expected to to the work of two people. Don't blame the employees if things go wrong blame management, THEY want it this way or THEY would change things. Employees DON'T hire. Employees DON'T set the price of your ticket. Employees have no control over what Management wants to do to U.

The upper echelon at American Airlines just pulled the same stunt.
After 15 years, I am no longer at American Airlines. Leaving was the BEST thing I ever did.
For 15 years, I worked for a company that blamed me (labor) for all of the bad that occurred. For 15 years, I endured disrespect by both my employer and, on occasion, from passengers (though a majority of passengers were incredibly kind).
I now work for an employer who actually VALUES my contribution! It's a glorious, glorious feeling. My intelligence, input and hard work is rewarded and I truly feel to be an integral part of a team.
To my fellow former co-workers (flight attendants), please run, don't walk, to the nearest exit and save yourselves. I promise, it will be the best decision you ever made.

United didn't distribute stock or options to top executives last year, aside from a grant of 13,000 shares to Chief Financial Officer Frederic "Jake" Brace for "exceptional contributions during the company's restructuring," according to United's April 25 proxy statement.
For the man who let UAL get into bankruptcy, and oil at $50.00 BL. for their exit out of bankruptcy. The top boys are just setting themselves up for any merger they can get, and then they will take the money and run. I am soooo glad to be gone from all this, and not putting my talents to use for Glen, Jake, and the other theives.

UAL has broken all promises to us, employees who hired on in the mid 60's. Free travel after 25 years service, guaranteed pension, stock for the 8% pac cut we took un the 80's-the stock went from $80.00 or more to less than a dollar, then after bankrupcy it was all dismissed. The new UAL created super stock for the people who led us to this dismal state-Tilton. Brace, and even Pete McDonald who was once a very employee advocate- A bunch of Prostitutes. The multi-million dollar bonuses for "performance" (taking the company into bankrupcy, alienating many customers and most emppoyees) could have provided the promised pensions and insurance to us 35- 40 year employees. I used to be proud that I worked for United-now it is almost apoogetic if someone askes where I worked.

I also hired on in the mid 1960's. Glenn and his crew took my pension, most medical benifits, free travel, etc. I had to go back to work part time just to make ends meet. If United does not meet goals, why reward upper management. Lets picket the meeting.

I continue to be disappointed in the decision making being made at UAL. It is deeply disturbing that our pensions are being paid by U.S. Taxpayers (at a much reduced expectation) when the criminals at the top of UAL earn ridiculous salaries and bonuses. There is no shame only rationalization for under performance with the hand extended for more money not earned. It continues to astound me!!

ual senior management are criminals they are so incompetent that the only way they can begin to make money is by stealing it from the employees and lavishing unearned bonuses on themselves they must be heavy drinkers to kill their conscience. continental airlines saw through the veil of these brainless stooges.

enabling us to attract, retain and reward exceptional senior leaders," so who are the exceptional senior leaders? the senior leaders are criminals all they do is steal from the employees and then line their pockets with the loot

this is the exact approach that management at delta sold SERPS to the employee group. SERPS were guaranteed pension and lump sum payouts to the upper mgmt in the event of bk. they sold it as a way to retain the top talent.... etc... within 6 months of receiving their SERPS the CEO, President, CFO, COO, head of marketing, head of legal and about 10 others left with the cash. for an example, the CEO Leo Mullin worked at DAL for about 7 years. when he left he credited himself with 25extra years of service, got a payout of $ 25,000,000 (after taxes) delta paid the taxes, and guaranteed positive space first class travel for life for him and his family.(yes displacing paying pax).....this is the top talent that was to be retained. POS!

It's the old &^%$ like you that screwd us younger workers. That remark is directed at the older union employees that made us wait 5 yrs for A scale in a contract back in the 90s'. Now those same people want us to ride the company out and give up more to save their pension.. IT AINT HAPPENING !! I can start somewhere else, but I figure I have a score to settle with the ol A scalers!!!
