We received notification that our flight, booked several months ago, was cancelled. The only option for rescheduling was a flight from Chicago - an additional 300 miles round trip and an earlier flight time that necessitates a Chicago hotel stay that will add another $239 plus taxes, not to mention parking will be twice the cost.... We looked at Midway originally and this pair of tickets was over $300 less than the SB airport, and we would not have purchased the additional points needed for the second ticket if we would have selected this option. What we paid for the points was almost what the ticket from Midway cost on the day of booking. For this reason I believe Frontier needs to do one of two things, credit back miles or refund what we paid to buy those points, comp one piece of luggage and offer compensation for the hotel - as this balances out the costs we incurred that we would not have had if we had booked Midway originally and bought the much cheaper tickets.
