AAL has about 10 billion dollars in cash.
Hawaiian Air? This may be an answer to infuse an AAL presence in Asia, Australia, New Zealand, and the South Pacific rather quickly.
AMR/AA helped to bail out HA in the early 1990's when they were operating the airline from a checkbook each day and had no spare engines. Remember the AA DC-10s that they leased them to keep them in the air? These planes were retrofitted and painted with HA exteriors here in TULE.
