I found a lot of people thinking setting up an airline will cost very, very large amount of capital. In fact it is not. Starting an airline does not require 10 digit sums in $. It depends on routes, aircraft, etc. To be sufficient, operating an airline for proposed route(s) for 3 months without revenue basis is required. I am managing director of an aviation consulting company which provide services for start up airlines. From paper works to launch. Of course there are different rules in different countries but basic is same. Wanna hear from people who is trying to set up an airline or already done so.

Hi Kim,

This is Vimal from India, a country fully enriched with family values. Currently there is a heavy boom in the domestic aviation segment. I am working for a software firm for over 2 years now. I am very keen to start a business of my own and am enthused to start one in the aviation stream. Though I am new to this industry, please let me know what would be the estimated budget to start an airliner in the domestic market. I am planning to start the same in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. You can let me know your email ID so that we can plan to have a effective communication setup for discussing the same.

Thanks & Regards
Vimal

I am thinking about starting an airline called JetSter(Already trademarked)in say, the next ten years.
I have found a promising base-Norflok,Va- with a medium population, and a good-sized airport. But where do I find out what I need to know about this base and my future routes/destinations/
I have decided the types of airplanes I wish to lease, but where is a good, CHEAP place to lease them?
Lastly, how uch is this gonnag COST?

-Please Help Me! Nick-

Well, the first thing you do if you want to make a million starting an airline is hire EX AAL CEO Arpey from whatever he's going now, give him a billion dollars, let him start and run the airline and within a week or so, you will have your million dollars ! It's a simple as that!
P.S. DON'T FORGET TO HIRE CARMINE ROMANO ALSO !
