What, did you read that some where? You certainly can't be old enough to have known. No one who I grew up with was afraid to be themselves, and none of them thought the world was suppose to revolve around them.

So if you had lived back then, would you have been a malcountent?

So now someone must have 'lived' those years to have knowledge of those yrs. Gays bashed, blacks hung in the cotton fields for advocating freedom and voter rights. Women not allowed free speech and paid less than the males. The 50's were the last of the free years for those that install hate and fear w/ ease.

You sure couldn't ever be involved in academics. Hopefully you didn't home school any children or have much influence on their education.'Having to have lived' in the time referenced in order to understand is basically an idiot's statement. One that refuses to learn. Tell any historian that in order to under stand anything in retrospect time would involve having lived or travel back to that time. Simply ignorant. As far as the terrorist events in our present day..........much of it as a result of the western nations rampaging thru Middle-East for resources, destroying centuries of bedouin society and installing puppet Govts. cirica 1910 to present day. Again, history. Something you don't 'believe' in unless you were 'there'.........totally idiotic. And ur remark about 'the Smart Fone' is telling as well. Ur generation doesn't do well w/ change of any kind. U lost ur job because you couldn't change when the industry you worked for was changing.

So you are claiming to have real world knowledge by reading about it. History is a record, not the real thing. I do agree with your formed opinions about the middle east. I'll set my time machine and get back to you on that. I'd Tex's you while there, but don't think your generation's wonderful gifts to the world will be able to find any of the satellites the previous, do nothing generation put up there.
