The real question is why did you guys retire? You could have kept your recall rights. Instead of spending the last 10-15 years of your best wage earning years complaining about the bad deal you got. There are guys that didn't cross working for the D now. They were the smarter ones. You don't hear much about the union from them. The ones I've talked to said joining AMFA was the biggest mistake they ever made.
Why go back..In the many years there not many were good,(strikes, recession, 9-11, bk) etc.You believe that if the techs had stayed with iam that they would have kept their jobs. The result would have been the same.SCABAIR was hell bent on outsourcing, as was the industry trend. This started in the mid 90's when the whales went to China. The outsource language was the same in both AMFA and the iam. The difference being with the iam they could outsource 100%. AMFA put a pct that was allowed and that kept jobs till the last day. You are one nutcase away from being unemployed. It is no way to live your life. Enjoy the highs because you know when the lows hit you will be living from hour to hour.
I am in a better place, self employed with a successful business. In the middle of a second company producing several product ideas. The first one is projected to sell over a million units..I still don't want an acft accident or a SCAB to know it is okay, that is why I come here for a couple of minutes every once in a while..

<quoted text> I don't have a problem with Delta. They send me a nice check each month and Hard up pilot earns it for me. No problem there..The Scabs, no matter where they work is a problem though. The way that safety in maintenance is taken so lightly in the entire industry is a problem.
I've read ur time line and u probably are rite. U get a very very small check from DAL. U quit b 4 legal retirement age which means u took a 30-40% reduction, NWA froze so you took another 20-30%. U could have stayed and really made a difference in ur retirement accts but u left and became a self made million-aire who remains a mal-content from a process that ur team started and lost.

You ever stop to think the reason they get paid so much, is because they got rid of you so cheap? You are a walking talking poster child for everything bad said about union membership. Delta is doing it right. Just not with you. Like they told you in 2005, "Ba-bye!!"

Thanks for agreeing that he is a hard up pilot..
I never said that. I said he's right. You are stupid. That guys a pilot, responsible for a lot of people every time time he goes to work. Gets paid a lot because not many people can do what he does. You couldn't do it in a million years. What have you ever done besides piss away the only good deal a loser like you will ever get?

Supporting pilots is one thing, but supporting skygods is quite another. I do agree that pilots should be paid very well, their careers could come to an end at any six month physical. Eyesight, heart, you name and it's bye, bye, to all that training, time , and money. Now this skygod dude, is questionable as to the fact of really being a pilot. The guy spends way to much time trying to win his arguements. He must be a real treat when it comes to Crew Rsource Management. There is reason For Human Factors Training ! Toad toad too.

Who gets paid so much? If you are talking Dal mechs... they get paid what nwa mechs got almost ten years ago. The only way that money is brag-able is because Corporate America won, and Middle America lost. And if you are posting on here, and part of Corporate America.. than you are dodging your fiduciary responsibilities to your stock holders. Either that or you are a Congressman.

And you approve of this ? What comes next? will they let you wear Backgammon chips in your ears? Or maybe you can get some baggy crotch below your knees uniforms. Is it modern or just the dumbing down of society?? I am old... I remember when doing the right thing made you a hero. I miss John Wayne, Jimmy Stewart, and etc... Although the parts they played were mostly Hollywood, the message was a good one. Funny thing... we knew it was - " only in the movies". We admired the good, not the get all that you can. We didn't want too "simply fit in"... we wanted too stand out. Oprah Winfrey, whether you like her or not, made a good point! She didn't become the riches person in showbiz by talking Sh-t, she did it by learning the language and using it to communicate. So what good is your modern language if it only allows you to fit in? A voice in the crowd is hardly ever heard.

I'm glad you have it all figured out..Those dumb older people what do they know compared to you.Just remember if you happen to get lucky and live to get old ( I bet odds against it) make sure and tell the younger generation how dumb you are and how smart they are.
