The CEO of delta, should had been investigated long before he got to delta. Maybe if the congress did its job more often, things like this wouldn't be happening all of the time.

Don't know what happened to Spade. I don't know if I'd call it as much bitter, as I would call it... not blinded by the political anti union spin. What RA and the new owners of nwa did, was destroy a great airline, blend it with another and come out with system that will fail in the end. They have turned air travel into nothing more than an airborne cab service.

And why will it fail in the end? because you say so?

on another note, has anything you ever predicted concerning NW or DL ever happened? You appear to be on a losing streak in that area

You may think so. But looking at it from my end, maintenance, everything I predicted is right on track for a very bad ending. The kids in the business today don't do what is right... they do what they are told.

DAL buys 49% Virgin Atlantic moving to # 2 @ H'Thro. Sandy slows down DAL new pipeline of jet fuel but still expected to be fully operational in time for Spring 13 and able to lower the AL's fuel bill by 16% and still turn profit by selling fuel to others and selling bottom fuel than can not be kerosene vapor to vendors for plastics et all. Record profits expecting to hit 1.9 billion w/ record payout to employees profit share. Employees see pay raise 3 times in 13 mos. On time performance increases to 96%. Baggage complaints down 87%. Top Tier rank #3. Voted Best Biz Class service worldwide. JFK/LGA terminal projects on time or ahead of project and under budget. The purchase of USAir slots @ LGA increase profit margin by 11%. DAL increasing flts to Asia out of LAX,SEA,SFO. Now just tell me how Mr Anderson is failing the employees and customers of DAL. I wish you die hards the best but everytime you post such foolish comments you expose yourself as bitter old guys unable to move on.

You better hope so. What I see from the maintance side of things, ain't pretty.Talk about getting the biggest bang for your buck. What took place thirty years ago compared to today, is fat A$$ scary." Now " you can come on here and tell me how great DL is, but I've been around the block since nwa, and what's going on now is the new culture. Their fight with the unions changed much more than what they paid the mechanics. How sharp do you think a new mechanic is after day 14, working 10 or 12 hour days? Do you know what the FAA duty time is for mechanics? Look it up, and see what is says about hours per day. Then put your rose colored glasses on, and add in the regulated days of duty.

Some of the best jobs in the industry are DAL Tech Ops. Our dispatch rate is @ record highs beating every Legacy Carrier. Nothing scary about getting on a DAL AC and for youth claim so is testament to your bitterness. Not one of your predictions for the merger and our future fave been played out. Not one. There will always be moral problems @ some levels and @ some stations but when you compare the absolute joy an overwhelming % of DAL employees have for their jobs, well.........take a look @ AMR, USAir, UAL/CAL..........USAir in their 6th yr of merger talks w/ Amer West. The employees hate ea. other from the different groups. UAL/CAL merger is going to be a long drawn out process that didn't need to be but it now has become. Not enuff words to describe AMR employees. Now compare that w/ DAL.

Some things just take time. However you may see things, it's playing out just as I thought. There is not only a shortage of people going to school for AC maintenance, but there is a shortage Senior Mechs to show them the ropes. The FAA refers to this as the thin gray line. It's how we all learn our job. It's become a job few want to do! The reason are obvious !!

I agree that it is not good..Many A&P schools no longer operate. The license is a ticket to learn. You have to know what your looking for and most don't until they have been mentored by the most experienced mechanics. Of course now there is a stewardess and a wanna be airline employee, who no one would hire, who just know that the maintenance is peachy keen. They can see this all from inside the cabin..Makes my heart flutter to know that people like these have the passengers back.. Hey wine have you read Attention All Passengers by William McGee..Quite an eye opener to the open minded..

Fear monger and an obvious conspiracy nut lol. Ur thin insult w/ retired terms of employment........'Stewardess' ........is an attempt to dumb the argument. So u r telling the entire general public thay fly all AL's, especially the US carriers, they are in danger and should stay away from those carriers for fear of their lives? Hee hee. Wanna be and u lost and still being a wanna be w/ hosed down intellect if ever an intellect in the 1st place. But hey, you lost and you are a sore looser so u have the right to..........all hell, no you don't have any rights of argument. U r tainted cause of u ranger and loss.

No I'm saying that a stewardess who proclaims that all maintenance is good and getting better from the cabin is clueless..Must have touched a nerve..

Confidence, trust and knowledge. All of which you have no concept of. The FA can't check every check but we sure do know the folks sending us off to 36k" and we sure know they want us to make it, come back and do it again and again. The only time in the history of US Aviation when AC safety was @ risk was when the unions that rep'edd the MTO folks told them to slow down ops. The only time. Dispatch rate rate is up, incidents are down, safety awards @ an all time high and all you can do is be a conspiracy nut. I like it.

You and ur shop stewards help the Al's captive. You wren't in it for the industry. You were in it to increase ur #'s so you would have more power over the operations aspect. The AL's called ur bluff, they can do the work, be safe, produce profit and offer wages far above any other front line industry. Can't stand the facts so you refuse to acknowledge them. I love it. BTW, Stewards are still around. You? U r gone and we like it.

Conspiracy Nut? That's good that you would call most aviation maintenance safety experts that. You act like there is only a couple people saying this but its more the majority of maint experts who are saying things about the problems. I have seen and worked on acft torn completely apart on many occasions and have seen first hand the problems. How about you?..Oh thats right you see the fluff in the cabin. Believe it or not I want Delta to succeed just for the pure point of you getting out of bed and working to help pay my pension. I do not want any accidents only safe acft and keeping silent and ignoring the issues of poor maintenance is not right.
