Now that they have everyone in a vice they want to squeeze even harder. Less seats equal higher prices. Glad to see their watching out for their customers!
My butt hurts already! Thanks Hawaiian!!

Analyst Bob McAdoo of Avondale Partners LLC said he expects interisland airfares eventually to rise.

"From a consumer's point of view, it's nice to have $49 fares, but realistically, it's important that the people there make money on short-haul flights or they won't have short-haul flights," he said. "There's still competition; it's not like there's a monopoly" Oh really, well now that the turtle humpers have been paid to kill off the competition, I guess it's finally time for the knife to get put back in the consumer. Congrats Hawaii, no more interisland ferries, and 200 dollar air tickets are back on the way again. BTW oil's up to around 85 dollars a barrel again, care to think what that'll mean for y'all. Remember to send that check every month to the whale f**kers, as they would have to get jobs otherwise.

I have seen research that indicates Hawaiian's break-even point on interisland fares with $70-75 oil prices is around $50-55. Go!'s is about $60-65 due to the lower efficiency of their 50-seat planes.(Yes, I know they are smaller than Hawaiian's, but they use more fuel per seat mile.) Thus, allowing for decent profit margins, interisland flights should be in the range of $125 to $150. We have been in a fool's paradise during the recent several years of interisland fare wars.

Please note that I should have said "round-trip" in reference to the $125-150 estimate for interisland air fares in my previous post.

WOW, go figure, Aloha goes away and Hawaiian profits are up. Maybe the State should tax them at a higher rate if they cut their seat availablity. That way if they want to pay less taxes they have to have more seats, otherwise raise the taxtes the same amount that they cut their seats!

Everyone blames Go and maybe rightly so but do let it fool you, Hawaiian had a big part of Aloha going down the tubes. Hawaiian got everyone by its lowers.

If Hawaiian Airlines continues to make a lot of profits, how can they argue against the pay raises their pilots want?

I'm telling ya...I have this sneaking suspiscion that Hawaiian and Go have been sleeping in the same bed since booting out Aloha Airlines. Now that Mokulele is out, and to me go Airlines was a puppet to Hawaiian Air, Hawaiian is ruling inter-island air travel.
Now Hawaiian Airlines can reduce their schedules, raise their ticket prices and ABSOLUTELY NO ONE can do anything about it. This economy has done this airlines good.

I didnt know it was a crime for a pvt business to make a profit. I guess all you Obama lovers would rather have everything run/owned by the gvt and we all know how the gvt runs things. Everything the gvt touches loses money. Medicade, Medicare, social security, Car manufactures.

You moron's need to wake up, try to buy an airline ticket on the mainland and see what kind of prices you going to pay for a flight that is the same distance as what our InterIsland airlines fly. You going to choke on your saimen when you see the haoles on the mainland pay a lot more then what we do for such a short hop to Maui or Hilo.

If you no like Hawaiian, then go fly GO or just swim. But I will stick with flying Hawaiian, better customer service and they are number 1 for being on time.
