Well I knew that Midwest was doomed when they stopped having fantastic food and complimentary Wine on every flight back in 2002...Good luck to them...unfortunately we just get another flying bus...

Everyone knew this was going to happen. The Midwest name meant nothing with all the mergers and downgrading. It was great to have it, but, once Airtran tried to buy it, the airline went downhill. All the changes to keep it profitable made it the same as any other airline.

Best of Luck to a great service that not only will Milwaukee fliers miss, but the whole country. My daughter always felt a little bit of her home when she saw the Midwest Logo set down in Philly and I always said to the Midwest desk clerks 'take me home to Milwaukee and they would just smile and say'we know Milwaukee' Bye-Bye Midwest.

Sad to see it go but it makes sense that they would completely drop the name since just one day after the International Brotherhood of Teamsters became the representative for the furloughed Midwest Flight Attendants they decided they were not entitled to a seniority integration! I think this is all a big slap in the face to Wisconsin and the employees of Midwest!

It's very sad to see Midwest go. My first flight ever was on Midwest Express, 3 weeks after the plane crash in Milwaukee.

I flew on the last flight that had the regular meals, with real siverware. Stewardesses told us it was the last flight with the service. Coming home and realizing this was just the start of losing the specialty of this wonderful airline was had to take.
Our whole family and all our friends have enjoyed the fine service, flights on time, and the special care we have had with our hometown airline. And also the cookies.

Thank you for all the great years! Midwest Airline will truely be missed by our whole family.

It may have a new name, but it will always be Midwest in my heart.

Have you notice that Frontier has been flying into/out of MKE for several years already? Your headline is not quite accurate!

We flew Frontier through Midwest Airlines in February. The leg room was great, the satelite TV was clear, and the served the cookies. We have been Midwest and Northwest; wish they would of named all of their combined airlines REPUBLIC. As much as thing change they stay the same! Best wishes with the new venture.

Goodbye Midwest!! I will miss you. Glad to see that Frontier is adding a badger to the lineup of animals on their plane tails. It's obvious...shouldn't we name it Bucky? I hope Frontier will keep their promises to stay and support the community.

Won't be the same, though.
