Arrow Air Cargo operating certificate bought by...

This should be nothing too much of a surprise, but Arrow Air Cargo's FAA DOT Operating Certificate has been bought by a firm known as J W Acquisitions.

J W Acquisitions currently owns Centurion Air Cargo and Skylease I (Tradewinds Airlines).

These in turn seem to be at least partially owned by a Peruvian company, as foreign companies cannot completely own United States Airline companies.

AMC Alliance Management Company - information on which is sketchy, is the name of the Peruvian company and they also apparently own the Peruvian cargo airline Cielos.

Arrow Air Cargo was formerly owned by MatlinPatterson which slipped it into bankruptcy.

What is also kind of interesting is that it seems as if MatlinPatterson is somewhat of a front for Chinese investment in U.S. businesses through the "silent partner" of the MatlinPatterson group named Lap Chan.

This has recently been more exposed by the recent sale of VarigLog after the whole Varig fiasco which cumulated in the demise of one of the worlds oldest airlines, VARIG.

While the sale of VARIG was to Brazilian businessmen, the money was actually funnelled from China to the United States through MatlinPatterson the alledged partial owners of the solvent parts of VARIG too the undercapitalized Brazilian Businessmen who had to "appear" to be the owners and controllers of the corporation due to Brazilian law, along with the social and political complications the destruction of VARIG would have upon the social fabric of the country.

In the end it appears the Chinese, along with the business middle men of MatlinPatterson are the real pirates of the Varig situation.

Oh the complex ties of big business

Now back to Arrow, the case of foreign ownership and true financial control seems as if it needs to be examined regarding AMC - Alliance Management Center and the parent company owners of Centurion, Tradewinds, and now Arrow.

And now back to Arrow Air, unfortunately according to an earliar report Centurion's method of purchase would be only for the assets of Arrow.

Unfortunately unlike most succesful companies in the US and their employees, if you are an airline employee, most airlines treat you as a liability rather than an asset.

Am not really sure if this is a result of out of touch bean counters or out of touch airline directorates, or simply out of touch organizational structures which distance the holding company owners and directors along with the equally out out of touch airline executive upperlings from the employees that make up the airline.

Southwest values their own people. If you are an acquired entity, they really do not seem any better than the rest.

We will have to see whose flies also get ensnared in the neighboring webs of Charlottes spider friends.

Government really needs to do what they need to do so people can have faith in the stock market. We do not need any more unexplained FLASH CRASHES or false housing bubbles, which have deystroyed job, llivelihoods, and our economy.

If illegalities are found which have put people out of work our government should have the right to sue these asset firms, hedge funds, and others for the unemployment benefit costs which have put many states budgets underwater.

Did you know that Arrow Air INC left many employees of south America without payment them?

Some of those employees worked for Arrow very long time. They went to a court and even though the juge decided the employees won the case, there is nobody who pay them.

So It seems like Arrow Air, Centurion, Sky or whatever person who own those companies, is hiding back a backrupcy figure to avoid payments.
Is that justice?
Could you trust in those people who owned Arrow Air? The owners only go on their way making money while they are stealing from other people as an example their own employees.

No Maria I did not know that.

I guess the pay checks will continue to roll in for the few execs at the private equity parent company but the hundreds of everyone else are left screwed by bankruptcy manipulation by big business a's usual.

David Matlin, Mark Patterson, and Lap Chan, have successfully killed yet another airline.

Varig, Varig Logistica, Arrow Air Cargo, ATA, World, and by way of potential acquisition examination of Aloha's books they did nothing but to ail Aloha.

Let us see if North American Airlines is next?
