<quoted text>I know. You can't help but feel sorry for them. Take it from me, a guy sitting on the jet all the time. You and your co workers do a great job. The changes over the last several years are nothing short of miraculous. I feel sorry for these malcontents. They seem desparate for any excuse to not face the part they played in ending their careers. It's always management or the other employees. Spending the better part of a decade playing the victim is pathetic.
You feel sorry for us. Where you went wrong... we played no part. We said NO! There was no part to play, simple as that. What you've read... what you believe... Amounts to the same level of info... that say you... discredits McGee's book. What's the matter? What's good for the goose isn't good enough for the gander. Will you bend and twist it, while the world is warping outside your window? You ever done spins in an airplane? It has a lot more meaning once you've done it. Before you talk about airplanes.. try getting to know them. Take a flying lesson, do the walk around, learn that this is your only chance to find what might go wrong. Then bet that it won't, and go have fun. You see ... you are willing to bet that someone else knows more about the math of aircraft than you do. But when the info makes you uncomfortable... you claim to be superior in math. Hence, McGee repeats, what he has Heard.

McGee didn't take any spins, you obviously have taken the spin of delusion. Really, what is up w/ your constant prediction of a DAL failure? It really is weird.

You're starting to sound an awful like Glenn Beck. No, you have always sounded like Glenn Beck and his ilk. you spread fear and anger and refer to it as truth. You have actually no info or understanding of what takes place in todays aviation. Neither does McGee. He left over a decade ago. You got fired and you hold on to the most negative idiotic person that spouts the trash you need to have spewed. Paranoid. And a weirdo.

Okay toad I understand! You don't believe that the maintenance of aircraft is lacking one thing. The parts are good the corrosion that is painted over instead of fixed, No issue there. I got it. Every expert and mechanic who sees it is a liar because Dick says it ain't so and Dick won't lie..

Yep, thats pretty much what I'm saying. You have been screaming the sam doomsday crap for over 3 ys now, nothing has panned out for your predictions so now you warn of impending doom, harm coming to pax and crew. Do you actually believe DAL has a MTO group that would knowingly let any AC in our system taxi out, take off unless they thought it was 100% safe? I understand that you believe only your group could do it, but thats a lie. Especially when we have so many folks in the 20-30's making a career out of it again. Paranoia makes for a bad argument against facts.

And you KNOW this how that the acft is safe? I believe you would say that the 20-30 year old are the backbone of the experience. That doesn't surprise me. I have never ever met a 20-30 yr old mechanic that thought that but then again we have you to remind them that the maintenance system of over a 100 years has been wrong.

U r so mal content you can't respond w/ out being truthful/co-herent. Never in my post does it say that the 20-30 yr olds are the 'backbone' of MTO. Yes, as far as anyone getting on the plane, the dispatcher, the line MTO, operations, Pilots..........hell yes I know that they do not let a broken AC taxi out. But you know they do. So your buddies that are line MTO tell you thye have seen AC leave the gate that were not airworthy, yet said nothing, reported nothing. Criminal behavior and our folks @ DAL MTO are not criminals as you suggest they are.

Ever hear of the Regner case? Ever hear of Mark Lund? Do you believe that all safety sensitive aviation positions should be randomly tested for alcohol and drugs? When was the last time you were tested?

Federal aviation regulations also require aircraft mechanics to report safety violations to the Federal Aviation Administration. On five occasions between March and April 1998, Regner reported possible safety violations by Northwest to the Federal Aviation Administration. A factual dispute exists regarding whether Regner made the reports in good faith or as part of an orchestrated work slowdown.
They interviewed 6 other crew chiefs, seperatly, under penalty of perjury which result in mandatory prison sentence and fine. Not one agreed w/ Regner that the AC dispatched were not airworthy. As a matter of fact, maint logs, those legal sheets of paper that are signed off by more than one pair of eyes, disputed Regners findings. He was/is considered a lone wolf looking for payback. The court decided against.

Then why did he get his job back with full backpay?

All Flight Crew are random drug/alcohol tested. My last Alcohol test was about 3 mos ago. My last drug test was over a yr ago. Any problems w/ random? In the case of Regner I can find no evidence that he secured his job w/ back pay especially since he sued NWA and lost. I have never herad, in any industry, sueing your employer, loosing and getting back pay. Proof? Cite.

Well he did get his job back with full backpay..Keep looking. I have no problem with drug testing randomly. In fact I have a problem when the company doesn't require it for anyone doing safety sensitive work on their acft. Such as the foreign repair stations.
