Should DL get US -TPG Capital gets AMR. Who would TPG seek AA to merge with?

To invest in AMERICAN (AMR), TPG Capital would only do so to figure out a way of making a profit.

To so they would either

1) sell AMR American to another airline once it is through bankruptcy.

2) sell AMR American and its airlines in pieces once it is through bankruptcy

3) attempt to union bust at American and Eagles and lower wages and have American Eagle / Executive do even more of American Airlines flying.

4) reissue AMR stock (take it public) and get even more sucker investors to buy into this finacial disaster to the employees of this great company to enrichen the view at TPG Capital and top AMR Executives with London, company paid vacation townhouses

USAIRWAYS will buy AMR! The path that AMR is taking is exactly like the one USAIR took when it filed and restructured. Is the airline recker Doug Parker giving AMR advice on downsizing in exchange for the chance to buy it? You should be very worried at AMR because Parker and his crew of cost cutters and outsourcing are taking AMR down the same path prior to it's buyout and further downsizing! Delta is just flexing it's muscle to stop the merger, but Washington will approve the buyout due to the anouncement of job losses. Obama does not want to see massive job loses during an election year!

Either will be approved, just if DL or US gets AMR ..... some routes will have to be divested to other Airlnes..... so that could benefit JetBlue, more so than Virgin America, Frontier, Alaska, or Hawaiian, as these are all based out West.

Perhaps Romney can describe how his Bain Capital is a job creator instead of a job destroyer.... American Eagle Employees would like to know too.

Retention bonuses? How much?

Also, count on AMR execs doing everything possible to undermind a US Airways group take over of AMR American as the payout compensation would be far larger with Delta.

AMR executives are not in it for the airline but how much money they can take with them and get out well when they leave. Once you realize this, AMR's public relations machine will make far more sense.

The wheels are in motion for the final stage in consolidation! Parker and his crew in PHX are very experienced at doing exactly what they did at USAIRWAYS. They quietly gather their money "Vultures in the meetuing room in PHX and plot it's path to drop the hammer on AMR. Whether AMR likes it or not, they have little to say about it. When the number of job cuts was released, that is just the beginning, as routes get further cut and Parkers "Cubicle Geeks" in PHX evaluate duplication, they will hold the final numbers till last and believe me 13,000 will not be the final number. Parker has the skill and the the money smart people to force this issue and will succeed. He will use the cost factor, the increase is labor and fuel costs as his cornerstone for convincing the shareholders and the government to sign off on the deal. Never has there been a more favorable time for Parker to strike. The cuts will also include re-newed cuts at USAIRWAYS due to duplication and changes in labor contracts. Remember USAIRWAYS is in contract talks with it's workforce and with AMR in bankrupcy, he will make a "sweet" deal with the unions to make this deal fly.Parker will run both airlines in the end and will finally sit at the hed of the largest airline. THe story of his step ladder approach to growing his company, not through it greatness but through picking up those that have failed i.e. USAIRWAYS. He has failed in the past at getting AMR and Delta but never before has the time been better for him to finally succeed. In the end, both USAIRWAYS will go through a re-structuring with job losses and AMR will be cut as much as 30% due to duplication.
