What kind of moron sits in the bathroom? Seiously. You have to be a moron to sit in the bathroom because you got into an argument with the pilot. And how did he get into an argument with the pilot in the first place? Could it be because he is a typical shithead new yorker who feels the world owes him? Hmm, 2 million for a free flight. Nice deal.

Hey everyone remember USAPA has no integrity and don't compromise. They don't honor agreements. They hate ALPA. They screwed the AM West guys. ALPA negotiated jumpseats. USAPA didn't. Remember that when a USAPA guy asks for the jumpseat.

I grew up in an airline family. My Dad was a Pilot my Mom a Flight Attendant, as well as my sister. First thing I was taught when I was riding for free as a kid, was I sat down. I shut up. I did what I was told by ANY of the flight crew or ANY airline employee. If I even looked at someone wrong I knew it would get back to Mom and Dad and they would have to answer for it and then me to them, times three! My brother went on an interview to be a Pilot when he was out of the military and he BLEW it big time just by interjecting into and A and B conversation with the Captain and the Lead Flight Attendant. He got to go through the entire interview process then at the end he was pulled aside and told "When the flight crew is working and they are addressing a situation, do not throw in your two cents worth or input. It is not required since you are not part of this company. Thank you for your interest and we wish you well in your search for a position as an airline pilot." He did eventually get a job with a commuter but he had it made and blew it! Bet this guy NEVER gets a pass from another employee EVER. I still travel for work on occasion and I see some people do things that makes me cringe. Sometimes I am shocked to hear they work for the carrier.
You were raised right. You should thank your parents for raising you to behave in public and be grateful you had them to care for you.

Is a "Buddy Pass" on JetBlue totally free?
,
Most other airlines impose a fee for use of a Buddy Pass and travel is on a standby bases only.
,
Have have heard many stories of pass riders being stranded overseas several days and having to purchase a walkup, full fare, one way ticket to get back home.
,
Not very cost effective if you ask me.

What a crock ...the f/a gave up her seat knowing she would sit on the jumpseat...enough said, she cant make a passenger move so she can be comfortable,as for the captain did he leave the flightdeck to deal with this?? if he did he should be reprimanded after all its safety first. Flight crews get a bad rap as it is this doesnt help any!!!though the guy wont get crap he was nonrev

This is absolutely ludicrous. No trained, professional airline pilot, in their right mind would ever command a passenger to participate in such an idiotic manner. Pilots uphold FAA regulations to the utmost. Did anyone think to ask the "passenger" if he voluntarily gave the seat to the flight attendant for a period of time? Of course not. Seems to me someone is just out to look and make a buck for no apparent reason....

The bad part of the whole flight is having to get up and share his seat every time the toilet was needed by someone else. Then he had to go back in and share the smells. I guess he got to know a lot of different passengers up close and personal. I wonder where they put the tray when he got lunch. Somme one said 5 first class tickets. That won't happen. The are no first class seats on Jet Blue.
When did you fly last??? Lunch??? You get a $5 snack box. On Jet Blue you get a bag of blue potato chips. NO LUNCH. Jeez. You watch Free TV drink half a coke and eat your chips and keep your mouth shut!

Doesn't matter if he paid or not...if they let him on the plane they are supposed to provide him with a seat suitable for a passenger, which they did. The flight attendant had a seat suitable for an employee. All was good until the flight attendant decided the jump seat was not comfortable enough. Putting him in the bathroom (if that's what really happened) is totally unacceptable and illegal and violates safety procedure. He has a case but maybe not to the tune of $2 million. The airline should be penalized here for sure. And if he claims to seat caused him pain and suffering then he will cash in. How do you prove someone's a-s-s does not hurt when they claim it does??? Big mistake by the pilot. These airline employees are getting too big for their britches with their little power trips in the sky. Pilot=bus driver and flight attendant=waitress. Plus they have safety training, big deal. Apparently they don't even follow it. If I were this guy I would sue too.
Did you witness any of this? You are just going on assumptions. Besdies if I was the employee who provided the buddy pass I would make sure not to repeat the same mistake to the passenger.

Of course I did not witness....which is why I said (if that's what really happened)...but if his story is true then JetBlue f'd this one up big time. We'll see

I had a friend once named Kiey and she got stuck in the bathroom flying Allegheny. She was flying home to see Dee and Miko.

It's the lawyer that came up with the $ amount of the suit. Probably figured JB would settle before the sh*t hit the fan to avoid negative pub. The guy is due some compensation. JB accepted him as a pax so he was due the same treatment as everyone on board. Free standby ticket or not. Leno and Letterman should be coming up with some lawyer jokes.

<quoted text>No it's the lawyers that are running this country into the ground. They will all get together to figure out how to drag this case out instead of resolving it. Then the charges will get passed on to you and me. The airline won't lose a dime, and if they do the tax payers get the bill for the bailout.

Addressed to USPilot- IF this story is true and IF this man was made to sit in the restroom for the remainder of the flight then what could the consequences be on the pilot and flight attendant?

Notice I emphasized the word IF here, I have worked with the public too long to know that you never take for granted everything everyone says. Customers lie, employees lie, it all snowballs until the truth is discovered.

What interests me is no mention has been made of the other passengers, did anyone witness this happening? I am sure by now someone would have come forward and said... I saw the whole thing and this is how it came down, or I didn't see anything that indicates this person was banished to the restroom etc.... Where are the witnesses?
