Sorry, to burst your bubble but it does affect systems onboard the A/C.

Thanks from an Airline Pilot.

The cost of airline tickets is at an all time high. I sure don't want to spend hundreds of dollars to fly across the country
Are you kidding me. Airline tickets are at an all time low. Be prepared for an increase back to where ticket prices should be. If you can't afford flying take Greyhound, drive, or just don't go.

Depends which airline and where you're going. Guess I should have stressed my point was more towards good manners. The idiot who refused to get off his cell phone when directed to do so has none and has no respect. Pilots and flight attendants have enough to worry about without having to put up with his childish B.S.!

The guy knew his father had cardio problem and could kick off; however, he placed in jeopardy the other passengers, the crew and the aircraft in JEOPARDY - and that aint the game show. Sometimes bad news doesnt always have to be delivered that quick. The cal shall have ended without DISCUSSION. Ban him from the airlines and identify him as a "problem passenger" regarding electronics, including lap top for any future US carrier aircraft domestic or international!

Put a cell phone next to an ADF and tell us again how they don't interfere. You are the dumba$s.
The Brits are investigating a cell phone jammer for bringing down the 777 a few months back.

It would be the first time. Unlike you, some of us can talk about using force and back it up. I'd love to see the dude's face when I grabbed the phone and said "Whaddya gonna do about it?"
Or....a pusssy like you and "Sure" could just sit in your seats and cower like little boy.
I'll take the tough guy way any day and there isn't a thing you or this jerkwad could, or would do about it. I'm not the kind of guy you'd want to piss off in a parking lot.
do you spend alot of time in parking lots? is that where you blow guys for money? you give them a few bucks so theyll bust one in your face? you are a joke

Please discuss following topics:

Cell phone TDMA and CDMA modulation types, frequencies and power levels. Transponder / TCAS frequencies and sensitivity levels; Ditto for DME and GPS systems. Be brief but concise.

rules are made to be broken. especially stupid ones. people are so lame in america, walking around like drones at airports, following directions like a programmed robot. this makes no one safer, except the searching of the bags, which of course, they don't even do.

we need to start having more of an attitude with these smarmy "attendants" and oft-drunk "pilots" (actually, a computer drives the whole trip except go up, go down. that's all a pilot does).

I do believe that it is Southwest that has been in the news quite often in recent months over being insanely controlling from telling people what to wear and everything. V-neck is too deep, skirt is too short...it's been a frequent thing lately.
