So is loud music, this isn't the military

First off, i read majority of these posts and everyone is forgetting a crucial thing about the bill trying to get passed. IF IT DOES PASS!!! WE ARE BACK TO HIGH DEMAND FOR PILOTS!!! why do you think airlines (i.e MESABA, PINNACLE, etc.) lowered the requirements in the first place? The 1,500 hour rule just can't be enforced enough. Older pilots are retiring not to mention the economy is going to climb up again. I don't see this bill passing and if it does it will be ousted in the next few years (by or on 2014). Therefore, for all of you mesa pilot peeps out there, think outside the box? do you really want to fly? How about jetting off to africa to fly single engine aircraft during tourist season? all you need is a C172 rating... you really want to fly? Then do it... I am sick of hearing whining and complaining from all these posts... get over it. I am one of those 175 grand in debt for pilot training people and I am keeping my head up. For I know whats really going on. So find a job (or different career) and go for it. Furthermore, if you can't move outside of the states for a job then maybe flying just isn't the right thing in this point of time for some of you.
I would just like to say that I'm not necessarily complaining about this... I just think it's wrong for Mesa to turn it's back on it's community of origin (although, it's probably some of these people in the posts here that made Mesa want to... and I can't blame the company for that...), but, I move with my dream of being a pilot... that's all I can do...

I would also like to point out that the airport is going to keep generating noise no matter what, and, for those people that live under the airport, I would like to entertain the common sense idea of perhaps NOT living near an airport... people are going to train at Four Corners Regional for a long time after Mesa is gone, and, from experience, pattern work (taking off, going around the airport, and landing continuously) is a necessary practice, and will continue here long after Mesa leaves...

No one can really blame Mesa for training pilots... just like any other profession, future pilots have to start somewhere, and many of them have no past experience flying airplanes before college...

I think I'm done arguing on this post... I have better things to do with my time, and I think the future is going to demonstrate better than I can that the town is going to lose a lot of revenue, jobs, and probably people... unfortunate, but, part of the truth...

Are you serious, how can mesa turn it's back on this community? Again, comments from someone who has no clue. Mesa moved headquarters because they wanted to expand and grow, that made sense. but there was plenty more left here; the pilot program, reservations, maintenance, revenue accounting, and the flight operation out of the airport. unfortunately the farmington/san juan county area hasn't grown enough to support many airline operations, you can't blame mesa for that. yes everyone has there own PERSONAL opinions about routes, which are nothing more than places individuals want to fly, not routes that would actually be profitable to the airline. you want to talk about turning your back on someone, ever since I have been here, this community has done nothing but criticize and complain about mesa, similar to what are in these blogs. nothing with any substance and truth but just griping to gripe, this community is good about that. This community is still bent out of shape about no flights to albuquerque, yet no other airlines are lined up at the door wanting the route. maybe this community should let the airline run their business and not try to do it for them, and then when things don't go there way start a smear campaign. The community leaders could have done much more to sit down and talk with mesa or any airline for that matter instead of casting stones. funny thing, now that mesa is gone, guess what, the community has now started throwing stones at great lakes. So maybe the problem wasn't mesa, maybe our community needs to look in the mirror.
