NO - (DAL) and Delta are one and the same

NO - Cause Comair is shut down

NO - they are not structured as a holding company

Is Delta the certificated brand buying 49% of Virgin Atlantic or
is Delta Air Lines the "Company" actually buying them. IT really seems confusing as too if they are one and the same?

Furthermore if Delta Air Lines owned Comair, Compass, and Atlantic Southeast at one time,

why were they never considered an "airline holding company" like AMR who own 3 airlines (well that is if Executive Airlines is actually still in business)?
