Blame management THEY are in charge. It's up to THEMMMM to hire enough employees to get the jobs done. Only THEY can buy the equipment needed to run things right. They could care less about the passengers as long as THEIR pockets are full and they have that golden parachute and perks and stock options. If THEY can keep the budget low THEY are rewarded by the stockholders. The stockholders have no clue how the jobs get done and could care less as long as THEIR pockets are full. The employees have a bad attitude? No s...? Year after year they see the management cut employees and equipment and safety. The employeees are supposed to feel great about it??? Management is to blame for anything that happems. They make the rules. They want it this way or THEY would change it.

Hopefully I'll retire before Jeff Lorenso runs this airline into the ground. He really deserves that tripling of his pay last year. Our new motto at United is we're to big to fail- its all good!! Move on Jeffy before you ruin what's left of my 30 year career. Frustrated ex PE, ex CAL, now United B777 Ca. making less than a SWA B737 Ca. and with the ratification of Delta's new contract 40 percent behind my peers at Delta.

Boo Ho Ho... Why don't you just quit, if your so unhappy and put your money where your mouth is. I'll be happy to cross the picket line again and take your job for just $36,000.dollars per year.

I miss continental

Wow, what a difference. Continental was easily the best and most reliable airline and now we get literally the worst airline in terms of reliability and customer service I have ever seen. It is incredible how bad they are. In all my years with Continental I had never experienced the delays and cancellations due to mechanical issues that I have encountered in the last year on United. It seems like they took all the modern working airplanes out of Newark and deployed them elsewhere. I had to laugh on one flight where one of the overhead bins was missing its door and there was a handwritten sign taped across it that said "do not use"......classy. Yes something small, but just an indicative sign of the company's attitude and a telling statement of the quality of their equipment.

Anyway, not surprising when you look at the CEO....does anyone in the world look more like a used car salesman than that guy? Oozes slime bag. Can't wait for him to be banished to El Salvador Airlines or something appropriate like that.

United Airlines is going from First to Worst. Poor decision making! Lastest mistake is vendoring out all cargo. Working hard employee for Continental for the last 28 years has gotten me no where but trip to the unemployment office. I will watch from the sidelines as the United fails!

I'd like to thanks my subordinates at UAL for such an outstanding work ethic in running this POS into the ground. For me, I look forward to immigrating to Switzerland (the land of white people who don't let the coloreds in), and will watch from my Chalet in Zug, Switzerland; the soon demise of UAL.

Oh; I'd like to thank my copilot for nearly killing me back in 2007 in SFO when he nearly crashed the B-747-4 we were flying to Australia with some four hundred passengers, because he didn't know how to step on the rudder when #3 developed compressor stalls.

Number 3 had a compressor stall and you had to worry about the rudder? I have 4000 hrs in a 747 and it would take minimal rudder corrections if no 3 stalled or failed. Now if it were an outboard engine.....a tad of rudder would be good but still no big deal.Losing one in a 747 is an inconvenience, not an emergency.

Hey, the Republic of Texas is history. It is the State of Texas. The Republic went broke and joined the union so we would bail them out! Either way, you live in Occupied Mexico so get over yourselves!
