Agree - AMR's AA could be split up

Disagree - AMR's AA will now be merged

Why in the hell would a TPG - US Airways Group bid keep AA in tact and weaken US Airways Group by being forced to digest too many issues.

The partioning of AA begins.... thank you so very much you damn AMR crooks at the top.

Now it is a matter of who gets what in order for a profitable remnant of AA to survive with US Airways in charge or a whole other Airline taking the American name.

AA Domestic Division, spun of from AA International Division, or does just a hub or focus city go to some else. Hmmmmm this is getting ugly!

While TPG Capital the entity may be distracting who they get...

I guarantee the insiders at TPG Capital are hedging their bets and personally investing in places far more risk adverse such as Boeing or another air group, as they know the Big Airline deal is only the Front Company of their real deals in which money can be made.

Anyone wonder where Midwest Air Group, or Continental Airlines is today? I think we may have to look towards Gecas, ILFC, and Boeing to see how they look. Boeing build aircraft, the other two want to supply aircraft. TPG will move assets around at what ever airline so aircraft can be supplied by leasors and Boeing can build, but if an airlne fails, well it won't be the end of the world are leased aircraft can be resupplied to other routes quickly.

Airlines are just at the bottom of the capitalists overall schemes.

Boeing needs to sell 787, there are airlines that could buy and lease 787's... American's new entity being one of them once they get their shorter term bankruptcy issues solved, and now it is up to manipulating the Airline and Markets successfully enough for Gegas and Boeing and Ilfc to get as many as the airliners flying.

Airline profit is not these companies business, sales and leasing are. Their attitude is if an airline fails so be it, there are other airlines to place airliners with.

Capitalist on the other hand are always scheming for the next big deal... Fortunately some in the airlines and markets see this.... most do not though. Airlines have to maneuver all of these goal especially in bankruptcy. AMR Execs may think they were smart, but there is always someone in business that comes up with another way to sell a mousetrap.

Don't count your chickens before they hatch!

The FA's think they're holding AMR hostage, but the other union employees are starting to realize that USAir may not be such a deal afterall and they're back to the negotiating table.

It appears that the bankruptcy judge knows this just as well and may not be too anxious to have USAir take on another bunch of union issues to resolve seeing that USAir/America West is still a mess.

Employees have almost nothing to do with this now. Creditors will be the ones to decide what will get the greatest returns for the money they have lost with AMR, and now are attempting to recoup.

AA will emerge as a lean, financially viable stand alone airline once the judge kicks the lazy, good for nothing union employees to the curb.

Also, what is to stop US Airways Group get approval to buy AMR Corporation, then at the last minute, pull out and pay the soon to be agreed upon "break up of an agreed merger fee."

That is but one way of weakening the competition if US Airways Group does not get the price or controlling interest level they want within AMR!

Nothing is done until the ink of that final paper is signed, and as US Airways and Doug Parker is finding out, not until a truely equitable solution is totally achieved with those from the merged carrier.

Silver Blood will be on AMR Execs hands if AA subcumbs to Chapter 7 pressure, which is becoming closer ever day.

It is not a win, is what is for sure. AMR and AA will not be around as the company that it was.

A knock off counterfeit Gucci wrapped in AA colors is what is coming to the AMR product, and the traveling public.

However it won't be any worse than United

Horton's bankruptcy success? YEAH wiping out the investments many once had in AMR Corporation...

Yeah your losses on AMR stock and shareholdings entitle a 20 million pay out to the instigator. Go figure.
