NO - if AmericaWest USAir remains in control

YES - in a heartbeat if AMR Execs in control

YEAH - AirCal, Reno, Trans Caribbean, TWA jets

This alone will prevent a smooth merger

AmericaWest, Piedmont, PSA, USAir - Heritage logojets gone is just not right in a merger!

AA, the Eagle symbol, and stripes have more worldwide brand recognition than USAir! In addition it is using the colors of the USA, red/white/blue.

Without looking it up, please describe the USAir logo and color scheme. You only get one guess.

Well in terms of a merger, AMR is doing everything it can right now to PREVENT Doug Parker leadership in a bankruptcy merging.

Even if AMR has to sell LAX ops to Hawaiian, and then in some sort and create an expansive codeshare for LAX with HA, this might buy time to get out of bankruptcy and then force US Airways hands as AMR wittles Phoenix to but a spoke in a post merger acquisition to reduce market capacity. Why connect in Phoenix, when you can fly direct to any city in the west from DFW or ORD.

Plus AMR's Horton gets a huge payoff, if he can bring AMR out of a bankruptcy independent, only to let it merge, acquire, or wither after.

My farfetched vision: AMR/AA will be profitable and successful enough to go after USAir and become the parent.

Ditch the unnecessary routes/hubs, aircraft, and maybe personnel.

Donít F__k this one up like they did with Air Cal, Reno Air, and TWA!

Your Funny... it'll be a cold day in Hell before TEAM PARKER allows BK AMR take over US Airways... PARKER doesn't have as bad of a relationship with Labor as does TEAM HORTON... Horton only wants what is best for Him and TEAM... There is a $60 million dollars at the end of that Rainbow.

if I was one of the creditors I would choose Team PARKER and Co. 10 or 10 and Twice on Sunday.

Please let the US Airways color scheme be the one that is kept after the merger.

AA just spent a fortune to rebrand itself. It just happens to have an American Flag (US Airways/US A). That is the color scheme for the combined company

only time will tell... I know US Airways employees aren't a huge fan of the new Logo... the New AA Logo kind looks like a a knock off Air France...:)

I am partial to the "eagle" that looks very similar to the USPS.... I would love to see how much this design company got paid.... Won't complain about the rebranding R and D and cost coming out of BK though? Seems most airlines do it
