This guy should be grateful he had a toilet to sit on. If anyone is not familiar with buddy passes, they cost the employee's buddy next to NOTHING to fly. He probably paid, round trip from la to ny and back, 150 bucks. You get what you pay for. 'nuff said.

Really...where do they come up with a 2 million dollar figure? At least he had a place to sit considering he didn't pay for a full fare. People are ridiculous these days!

It shouldn't matter how he received his ticket, being he bought it or it was given to him. Along with a ticket and once boarded onto the plane a seat is waiting for you....not a toilet seat. Good for him, Shame on Jet Blue. If it were me the pilot/jetblue would be hit with more than a law suit.

Sigh. How ridiculous. Even if it's true, give me a break. Buddy pass indeed. I fly JetBlue whenever I can, because the employees from counter to pilots have always been extremely pleasant to deal with. I wish they flew more places so I'd never have to use another airline. I find this story a bit hard to believe.

He could have been a seat filler....everytime someone went to the bathroom, he could have filled their seat until they returned. Good excerise and lots of people to talk to. As far as the law suit goes, it is worth about one first class round trip ticket............

I am sorry this guy should win the idiot of the year award. I would never in a thousand years sit in piss/crap infested bathroom for 4hrs. You need to take a stand say HELL-NO! I will remaind in this seat until the flight is over. I get tired of this people of america not standing up for their common sense rights. They should give this man a unlimited miles and free trip for a year plus damages. This is the first i ever heard of a man sitting in the bathroom, how about the other passagers complainting?????????

Usually flight attendants, conmence to their busy jobs after take off. He remained in the bathroom the entire time ? There must have been one heck of a long line to the other rest-rooms. How many other rest-rooms remained ?

Good point. The stew that was on the flight was just traveling, not working, so that's why she was just in the jumpseat.

The New York stations are reporting that this dude ate at Taco Bell about 45 minutes before takeoff anyway. He would have sitting there regardless though.

As an airline pilot myself, I would never have had the passenger sit in the jumpseat because it is against FAA regulations. The piot should have instead told the flight attendant to keep sitting in the jumpseat because it is her job to sit there. This pilot and flight attendant should both be fired for this. The airline should also be fined by the FAA for violating this regulation. This passenger should at most be awarded 1/4 of their asking amount

My goodness, what a crazy world we live in. Why didn't the guy come out after an hour and look for his seat? Is he stupid? I agree with others, at least he had a toilet. I guess he'll also sue because he couldn't watch TV.

Yeah if this story was true, he would deserve a seat but not $2million dollars! Are you crazy like him? Maybe JetBlue can give him another free ticket or something, but please this amount of money is outrageous!

I was stuck at Detroit airport for 12 hours once. This guy had it easy. $2 million is ridiculous. The bigwigs at JetBlue could have him murdered for less.

I'd take 2 mil to sit on a toilet 100 times from NY to CA and back. would've asked for some cocktails while i'm at it. sounds like crap to me. no pun intended.
