That's whey UAL 90 ended up nose down in a field instead of the capital building.

Maybe someone could enlighten me. The last time I flew, the aircraft had Credit Card phones mounted on board the aircraft for the passengers use. Has that been changed ?? it has been a few years since I last had an opportunity to fly.

Even if a cell phone doesn't interfere with flying of a plane.
A cell phone will always interfere with my sleeping on a plane.
Some people use foul language in front of kids while chatting on their cell and that's really annoying.

Rules are rules...follow or get cited. Remember growing up? "Because I said so..." , the ever dreaded phrase. There is a good reason and you don't need to know. Period.

They started allowing the use of cell phones during the flights in Europe. There has never been any proof that cell phones interfere with electronics on a plane. Imagine how annoying cell phone use will be on a plane.

There is NO danger in using a cell phone on an airplane. This has been proven in a number of different sources. So the only reason to disallow it is to be less annoying to other passengers. Of course if we are going to make it illegal to be annoying on a plane here are some other things that should be made illegal.
-Incessant Talkers
-Arm Rest Hog
-Kids (which includes anyone under 20).
-Opening the window while I’m trying to sleep.
-Asking me to shut the window, while I’m awake and looking out.
-Asking me to move, so you can go to the bathroom, while I’m trying to sleep.
-Other passengers with too much carry on luggage, using my space that I need to store all my carry on luggage.
-People who spend 20 minutes in the bathroom...what are they doing anyways?
-Pilots that 'forget' to turn the fasten seat belt sign off for the entire flight.
-Fat people taking up my space.
-People who grabs my seat to get up.
-People who don't bath.
-People with too much perfume
-Etc.
