There remains some doubt as to whether state inspections really accomplish much in the way of real vehicle safety. How much are inspections in Travis County? Got one in Bexar Co. a while back for $14.50. Had been paying $39.75 in Dallas area. Well, when a guy like you has time to kill, it is possible to do his own maintenance on nearly everything. Is the old Sea-Doo up and running?
it beats me, I sold it last summer. I have me a new ride, actually two of them, and one is a really nice bass boat, which is also paid for in cash. I do not buy anything unless I have the cash for it.

On your other comment, that is totally wrong as usual per your BS. I spend allot of time in the garage, in fact I tell people, and my woman, you would not know a guy live in the house until you went in the garage. You know, all those feminine thing ladies like. I been working on a 1972 7.5 hp Mercury all week before I go to work.

No ONE has laid a glove on me on this thread. Are you saying Buffy was illegitimate.....kicked to the curb at 9.....? If so, YOU know this was NOT common knowledge hereon. Tell us you are simply blowing smoke. And, again if so, that might explain why she is so feisty and combative. What IS known hereon is that I have a soft spot for people in/from those circumstances. Please clarify. Oh, EM-1 is always well cared for and the recipient of nice thangs on an on-going basis. Just like a woman to try and put me on a guilt trip. CTS. Can't believe CH in Austin has his man cave littered with femine stuff......but then, that is Austin/Travis County. Have a great weekend and keep your scalp covered.

I have always liked the Texas hill country. It was time to return. Nah.....none of the above. EM ain't goin' no place but Texas, with little ole me. She KNOWS a good thang when she sees it; and she's pretty wise. Still about the same distance from HBS, doin' the same ole stuff. Life is good; and it's great to be alive at 45. CTS.
Riddle me this: When was 45 considered young...ROFL?! The only thing going fer EM1 is no weddin' cake offered...CTS.

She'd tie the knot without blinking, but she also knows my feelings on the subject.....and is content the way things are......uncomplicated by legal contract. So you have power? How much white stuff? Stay warm.

I have to admit your humility makes me laugh. Enough snow and flooding to make this Cape Cod Girl scream. I will only say the last 24 hours have sucked. Enjoy the fine Texas weather. I might have to rethink living in this place. The summers rock but winters getting old. It's either too much or not enough snow. What happened to the good ole days when we accumulated a few inches every few days. Seems to be feast or famine. Coulda used your Hummer....CTS!

Nope it is a row boat, got to work out! I throw a fishin line out, and usually take the doggies with me, and sometimes my lady. The dogs hate it.

Yeah, I know a guy who had 7 beers in him last Sun and passed the physical test in AUS. I would not even do the test. They are blatantly racist against the less coordinated white race, and particularly discriminate against older people. What is their base line for my performance? Hell I could not do it completely sober. It is pure BS!

Anyway, I do not live in Austin per say, thankfully with their high taxes to support really their stupid things. It is the Lakeway cops that patrol heavily on 620 that one has to worry about.

Got to admit that Merc is kickin my ass. I had to get a new stator, and I bought it as junk, so I do not want to put anymore money in it until I prove it runs. That dual point ignition is very tempermental, but I got. Every other twin cylinder motor I have worked on fires both plugs at the same time, and that is what gives harley that sound; one cylinder is firing when exhaust valve is open. Being my BMW is even firing, you never hear it. Polaris sleds & Sea Doo, and I think John/Rudes do that too. It is called a wasted spark system. But the way Merc, has the points mounted, it real easy to get eletrical leakage thru the isolation blocks. But I got it.

Well got to go drive by the Lakeway Cops and go to dinner.

Scab exNWA, having been able to run a 2'14" 1/2 mile 4'21" mile, a 10'36 2 mile cross country and routinely run sub 40' 10Ks as a toned and muscular 170 lb some 30 something years ago, and with above 20/20 vision and great grades, I was highly sought by military recuirters. Even at the age of 28 I was still in such great shape, and aced those entrance exams, the US Navy still offered me a slot in their Nuclear Engineering Program. I bet I could still outrun your Scabby Ass today, and I am in my early fifties.
Jealous, not hardly. I learned that was "Not All I could Be"!
Liar. I retired USN ABCS. Navy did not recruit nuclear engineers out of high school. Nuclear engineers are officers and need college. Enlisted nucs need boot camp, outstanding performance in A school, recommendations from command, and pass a pretty tough board to get in to nuc power. They aren't going to put a loser like you and a fast attack boat.
Also, you might check the Texas state track and field database. 4 min 21 sec would have won state champion for most of late 70's early 80's. Pretty good for a football player that never mentioned being on the track team.

Well you are right about one thing, and one thing only. And that is I did [NOT] serve, or rather take that easy way out and join the most succesful socialist enviorment there every was; the US Military Establishment. No Sir, I was paying taxes to support you and your drunken cohorts that got free housing, free food, free dental, free health care, and a free education. You say you are conservative, BS. I am the real conservative, because I have paid my way since I was a kid. You on the other hand are probably driving a car with DV plates, getting a free ride on the toll roads, getting a free check every month, and whatever else you can dole out of the US Taxpayer. Oh, but you served, so you deserve it. Yeah, I know plenty of takers like you. After all you, You Were All You Could Be; a "real" welfare recipent, which is all the Military has become since the end of WWII.
And I bet I am much more fiscally conservative than you, I had to be. The worst and laziest Mechs were those from military too. A junk yard dog like me was alway much better.
All You Can Be, think about it. I set my sights higher!

Once again Sleasy R/R, I did not choose to serve because I preferred not to become a Government worker and take the Easy way out. I stayed in the Private Sector, and whether it union or nonunion is immaterial. It is all Private Sector, not dependent on Taxpayer money, the Government you so much deplore.
spent any time working on the base? a lot of rejects do that when they get turned down for military service

Hey ExNWA Scab, I am not talking about those guys or girls. I am talking about the Vets who hurt their knee while playing Basket Ball when they were a GI, but they go ski with their equally scamming Vet buddy every winter, or the old black Vet that has high blood pressure because he ate the Goverment supplied food, or the Vets that drive a fancy BMW roadster with a six speed manual that has DV plates on it. Yeah, a 60 year old black man with high blood pressure, that's unique, and how can that Vet missing limbs, drive a sports car with DV and Handicap plates on it.
Further more the American troops and sailors were and are not fighting for America. Contrawise, they are fighting for international oil interest. Let them pay for the Billion we spend a day their, and the residual cost.
I know a guy in Norfolk with a sweet '69 SS Camaro. He could have a DV plate. He settled for one that says Medal of Honor. Guess you think he doesn't deserve it because you can't have one.

Actually not at all, every bit of of those stats are true. In Minnie when someone doubt it, I would tell to call a certain number, and ask the guy the stats of the whole team. We had the same coach, that later coache Drew B, the NO qb from Westlake.
He used to train us every Wed by having us run 6 1/4 miles, that is 440 yds at a maxium of 64, followed by 60 sec rest, then 2 at 68, and then the last 2 at 64. We were fast!
I really think you alway call me a liar, because YOU project your short commings on other people. Is it so outrageous that someone could actuall be better than you?
Liar liar pants on fire. You're talking about Ron Schroeder. Might want to find out where everyone went to HS before you make BS claims. If you are early 50's like you claim not possible. Schroeder was a Jr HS coach in late 70's. Pierce in '79. He didn't get to Lanier until early 80's. Oldest you could be and have been coached by Ron Schroeder would be 48. Unless you got held back 3-4 years. Not likely for genius recruited for nuc power right out of high school. What a LOSER!!!!!!

20 years in the Navy. Over 5 years deployed on several CVN. I know a bit about nucs. No PTSD here. Just a career I'm proud of. Listening to some loser like you piss on the military, when you're just mad about them turning you down cracks me up.

Well, you have those dates all wrong. Both he and his cousin, coached at Lanier and were at Lanier by the mid 70s.

I never said I was recruited out high school for CVN, it was later in life when I was considereing it.

I never said I was
