Exclusive: EU to clear US Airways, American $11 billion merger

I wasn't aware that PHL was a slot-controlled airport to begin with. When did this happen?

Also, if the plan is to divest LHR slots to a new entrant carrier(s), they might have a problem finding anyone with the equipment to fly it from the US. Is the plan going to be an LCC with A321s or B738s?
