These companies are hitched to the AA DL UA wagons.
If we have an economic downturn again would mainlines still as aggressively be willing to turn over their business to these companies as they did post 9/11.
The post 9/11 outsourcing still lead the AA DL UA into bankruptcy, so what good has it been giving all this potential business to others.
Obviously management failure was a big time sucess at AA DL UA - Are these companies now too big to fail and thus SkyWest Inc., Republic Airways Holdings, Tran States Holdings shielded.
Or are we at the point mainlines will start poaching more profitable routes. I say let the poaching begin, for it will now in any economic downturn.
