There are 5 comments on the Business Journal story from Jul 16, 2013, titled American Eagle pilots say no to US Airways pay proposal. In it, Business Journal reports that:

The Allied Pilots Association has been talking with US Airways because of the proposed merger with American Eagle's parent, AMR Corp. The union that represents pilots at American Eagle says it won't consider a proposal from US Airways Group that would have paid new pilot hires less than current pilots at the Fort Worth-based regional carrier.

The merger is not even done and already Doug Parker is looking to cut wages, looks like the line he fed the unions who by the way, ate it all up and supported the merger may now see the truth behind the promises.
Airways has had some of the lowest pay scales and now they will try to impose these on the new AA.
Be careful of what you wish for, you might get it.

I knew this merger was going to be entertaining to watch from a distance, but it looks like the fun is starting sooner than expected.

What AA employees got out of it for starters is the greedy who ran the airline in to the ground out. Many retired in BK, and Doug is putting his team in place.. Is he the answer? He's a CEO in corporate America, you tell me... Getting the old executive team that ran AA into the ground is already a plus in my book.. To me Eagle made a mistake.. Let the new hires earn their money. Now they will all share the burden of cost cutting and possible outsourcing. A real union could in times of profit bargain to have the "B" scale dropped and everyone brought up to the same wages.

Shut that airline down now!

AA Eagle pilots...grow some balls and shut it down.

Do what the Eastern Machinist Union did to Eastern Airlines in 1989, shut it down!
