The CA attempted to salvage the F/O's botched approach. He should have gone around. The article says they were on speed and glideslope down to "200-400" feet. Strange way to say it. Why would the Captain take the AC from the F/O if he was on speed, on glideslope?

I made an assumption in post #2. Turns out the Captain is a female. Not that it makes any difference.

FO is another [email protected]$$ military pilot who is self centered.

ONE MORE REASON NOT TO HIRE MILITARY PILOTS! PERIOD.

I hear yah!
When I fly with copilots from the military. I tell them I was an airman 1st class (E-3) turning a wrench on aircraft as a crew chief.
They find it difficult that an enlisted man could rise to the rank of a B747-400 Captain.
I don't tell them I retired from the reserves as a Lt Colonel.
