I met Cannon Smith when I did his induction to the US Army All American Bowl. Cannon is a very nice kid who has made a mistake. I am sure this will dramatically shape Cannon's future in a positive way. There is no excuse for this behavior but we should judge Cannon based on how this impacts his character after that fact.

i have met a # of fred smith's children including cannon. he is a nice young man who made a mistake, he went to military school to straighten himself out.

cannon made a mistake that probaly thousands of kids make but we will never know about but this is just such a big deal because his dad owns fedex so everyone just leave cannon alone and let him do his thing and everybody worry about themselves

I am from Olive Branch , MS and went to school with him.

Hey, I tutored him in Chemistry. He went to our school for one year only, and it is known that his father (who is a great man) donated high amounts of money to the football program.
Because he was classified as a "5th year senior" many people believe that if it weren't for his father's generous donation(s), that Cannon wouldn't have been accepted into the school - he technically lived out of the region.
Ironically, Cannon arrived... and then we got new AstroTurf.
