This is a terrible article slanted one way. But, hey everything else is in fedx's favor why not news articles? The fact is that I've been a courier at Fedex Express for 7 years and I currently make about $14 an hr less than a UPS driver. We do the same type of work and it's obvious why we make so much less. It all starts with the RLA. Fedex knows we have no realistic shot at forming a union under this law so they don't have to pay us a competitive wage or offer a competitive benefit package. This is the real reason why Fedex is fighting so hard to prevent this legislation from passing. They don't really give a damn about the customer as they say which is pretty evident as understaffed as we are.

Can someone tell me in what other industry is there this much difference in pay and benefits for workers in the same industry who work for two different companies?

The good news is that NO ONE is forcing you to stay at FedEx. Imagine if you lived in another Country and you didn't have the choice to get another job. Move on!
Let someone else take you Fed Ex job and every one wins. Lots and lots of folks would love to have your job at FedEx.

I bet you have a home, a big screen tv and at least one car/truck.

Hope those vicious, greedy Union organizers dont' succeed at running your employer out of business like they did to the Auto Industry

Wills must be aware that the Unions are choking the very life out of California. The massive unsustainable pensions wrought on us all by the crime syndicate who the Dem voters sold to the Unions in Sacramento has destroyed any hope of a chance at a great future for California citizen children.

Hey- IDIOT!! IF you don't like FedEx - go work somewhere else!! It's that simple. It's not FedEx's job to bend over backwards for someone as ungrateful as you and I am thankful for that. Most people are appreciative to the fact that they a) have a job and b) work for such an esteemed company. I worked my way up the ladder with no college education but have shown that I want myself and my company to exceed. I am proud to say that if you work hard for this company and stay loyal - you will reap the benefits! I am a field AE who started out as a part time biller. So if you think UPS is so much hotter- go work for them because if Fred Smith knew who you were, I would bet money he would go back on that "We don't fire anyone" philosophy and dumb your sorry tail back on the street.

CALL YOUR LOCAL TEAMSTERS . GET A WHOLE BUNCH OF YOUR FRIENDS AT FEDEX THAT ARE BY YOUR SIDE. AND KEEP QUIT AND ORGANIZE BEHIND THE SCENES. WHEN THE TIME IS RIGHT YOUR UNION OFFICIALS WILL LET YOU KNOW WHEN. WHEN LEGISLATION PASSES WE CAN GET CARDS FOR PEOPLE TO SIGN . THE UNION WILL TELL YOU YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS .BEFORE THIS ALL GOES DOWN BE PROUD TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE YOU DESERVE IT. BE A LEADER NOT A FOLLOWER. LOOK POLICE, FIREMEN, NHL,NBA,MLB,NFL ,PILOTS,NURSES,UPS,!! WHEN YOUR A BIG PLAYER LIKE FEDEX YOU DESERVE TO BE PAYED LIKE A BIG PLAYER.

In time Americans will begin to care as little for their children's future as we have proven to care in California.

American always has looked to California for future trends.

you lasted 7 years so something must be going right...i have been at fedex for 22 years and never complained about the work...so move on and give someone your job and make your customers happy...you dont need to be working for fedex and spread your unhappiness with the way your life is going

Daily Horoscope for December 20

Sagittarius

Once again, the domestic atmosphere isn't exactly peaceful. Someone is still all worked up, and you may have come out in sympathy by now. Try to discuss things with as much objectivity as you can muster, otherwise, with Mars now retro, the conversation will soon disintegrate into a bad-tempered spat or a slanging match in which you try to catch one another out. It's important to clear the air.
